"UWM is a great place to learn and live. Professors were great, and classes and people were fun. The advisers could have been a little more informative."

"Milwaukee was a great choice because the professor's are really invested in seeing you succeed and push you to explore new thoughts and ideas. I really value the professors who encouraged me to dig deeper in my research."

"It was fine I suppose. Cheaper than other colleges. I know it's respected in the community. Just don't get a stupid major where you won't be able to find a job easily when you're done. Ask people in the field where they see the job outlook going, ask about pay. When I did my research prior to enrolling, i found out when i started to apply to jobs that the salary is VERY different from what online says."

"Overall, UW-Milwaukee is an expensive, but good school. I loved the campus and culture, but was often left disappointed by my marketing teachers - I learned more through internships than I ever did in class."

"Good school to go to. Expensive but good. Parking is a nightmare so be prepared to either pay or use the bus."

"UWM was an amazing college, and I am so happy and grateful I was able to go there. It was affordable, with great professors, and great programs. I strongly recommend going to a state school over a private college any day of the week. I'm even still good friends with a few of my Instructors. :)"

"UWM had a plethora of opportunities and resources for each and every student; but I found the biggest advocate for my time there, was myself. The resources are there, only if you are willing to look for them and seek them out. College, especially UWM, taught me to be self-sufficient. No other person was in control of obtaining my degree beyond myself. The staff was helpful and highly qualified, but at the end of the day it was up to me to work hard and succeed. Beyond that, it was a beautiful campus, had great facilities, and a diverse student population. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee."

"I think it's difficult to rate this particular program. You can learn theories in class but nothing prepares you like actually going out and working with people. Advisors are terrible, I recommend going to the walk in advisory sessions and getting a student. Advisors have given false information that resulted in students not graduating in time. There's gen ed classes that are annoying that have nothing to do with anything you will need in life, but i suppose that is at all universities. Social work instructors are pretty good though."
