Degree: Computer Forensics
Graduation Year: 2016
"I enjoyed attending Utica College. The hands-on labs are excellent! Capstone project was challenging. I didn't think that I would be able to pass the last two capstone courses. If you are looking for a challenge, Utica College is the one that will bring out the best in you. Instructors are super helpful as well and will walk you through the process of hacking, examining malware etc."

"If you are interested in the Utica College accelerated program (ABSN), look somewhere else. The dropout rate for this program is unbelievable. I have seen first hand as a student that the administrators of the program are miserable people who do things to benefit themselves and not the students. It is a money making business and they don't care about the success of students. They start each semester with many students but the number of those who actually graduate is far smaller. It is a teach yourself type of program. Everything is online except clinical and a once a week lab. I now value education in a classroom setting far more than an online course, especially for a nursing program. Save your money. There are many other programs that will better prepare you for a future as a nurse."

Degree: Spanish
Graduation Year: 2014
"I enjoyed my time at Utica College and absolutely loved majoring in Spanish and minor sociology but am concerned about the future of the institution. They have greatly expanded their offerings for online classes and, from what I understand, they hope to become an online-only college in the future. They are also heavily focused right now upon medical and business fields, which I can understand since this is what is popular and necessary for students looking for practical degrees, but I feel they sometimes have neglected the humanities. They were in the news quite a bit in the last year or two since they drastically lowered their tuition in an attempt to look as if they are focused on their affordability but one needs to realize they only did this by drastically cutting the amounts of scholarships they grant. Within my programs the professors were great (for the most part) but I generally do not do not think Utica College is headed in the right direction."

Degree: Liberal Studies
Graduation Year: 2010
"I didn't love it, many classes seemed like a waste of time. Very few taught me skills I still use today. Student teaching was the best experience. I chose the school because it was close to home but wished I went to community college first. I knew many friends that gained much more at MVCC their first 2 years (and they probably have a lot less debt too)."

Graduation Year: 2014
"This college has very little emphasis on academic rigor. Both my majors were lacking key classes when compared to other schools because the quality of student at the institution was too low to be able to offer these classes. Small class sizes and great and the professors are all very good. Unless you pick one of the better programs (health programs, cyber, education), getting a good paying job or getting into graduate school will be very difficult unless you are an outlier. Tutoring services at the school are great, but the pay is not."

"Expensive, poor facilitators, few choices of liberals, poor help with registration. Some facilitators do not answer questions, are vague on syllabus and then score you poorly on the results. Extremely unorganized and poorly proctored classes."

"After working for 3 years I finally decided to take my undergraduate course. Due to financial difficulty I could not take a regular course. Hence I opted for online course and my friend recommended me to Utica college. That has been the best decision of my life. Being in the IT industry, I decided to do my Bachelors course in cyber security. I had no idea that online education could be so interactive. The professors are very helpful and available for any queries. All the responses I have got back are within a day. The overall course modules are pretty tough and surely need a lot of dedication and hard work if needed to keep up with the grade. I'm surely on my way to becoming an Web Security Administrator. Thank you Utica."

"I had a great experience at UC. Being able to complete my degree program online, allowed me the flexibility to juggle school with a full time career and family.Just because I took the courses online, did not mean I was taking courses in a vacuum. Powerful online tools including virtual classrooms and chat features, allowed me to stay in touch with fellow students and faculty. The support I needed was available when it was needed. I would recommend UC online to anyone with a dream of a better career. My degree has opened up new opportunities I did not even know existed."
