Degree: Exercise Science
Graduation Year: 2019
"Overall, I highly recommend VCSU for anyone interested in their Exercise Science department. The faculty is phenomenal and truly cares about each student individually. The class sizes are extremely small which makes for a great learning environment. There are multiple tracts to chose from in the exercise science program, ranging from pre-professional to strength and conditioning. Although I feel some of the classes could be more challenging, this can be fixed with some independent learning. The concentration A- Exercise Physiology program covers a wide array of subjects, from athletes, to strength and conditioning, to general medicine. I feel prepared to enter my continuing education with great confidence and a desire to learn that will help me get through my future schooling and help me reach my goals. The wide range of academic support services available is excellent, VCSU has a learning center with tutors that range from math to exercise science and everything in between. If there is not a tutor for your desired subject, the learning center coordinator will work with you to try to find one. As long as you pay attention to all of your required prerequisites (if you are going to graduate school) the program is very well put together. Advisers are always there to help you plan your program progress and all the teachers in the department respond to email quickly and professionally. They also push you to succeed if they know that you have more potential than what you are submitting. The town of Valley City is very quiet and safe, although if you are looking for night life you won't find it here. The college itself is very affordable.Overall, I highly recommend VCSU to anyone who is looking for small class sizes and teachers in all departments that really care and want to see their students succeed."

"VCSU is a great school on a beautiful campus. The professors were amazing and very important in my education. I wouldn't trade my degree or college for anything. It was a great experience!"
