"Vanderbilt's MSN program is very underwhelming. We finish our program in a couple months yet they will not tell us about graduation so we can make plans. It is COVID times, but they are having in-person classes now so they should be able to plan for an important ceremony. I think they just do not want to plan for one. They are very unorganized. We would find out about class schedules only a few days before the class. For the amount we pay for Vanderbilt, I expected much more. There is no way I would pay the Vanderbilt prices for a DNP. In hindsight, the entire program is way too costly for what it actually is."

"The MSN degree program at Vanderbilt University is definitely a rigorous and challenging experience, but you learn such a significant amount of information and are taught by some of the most incredible providers in the field. The program itself is fast-paced, but the leaders always make sure to take care of you and cater to your needs if you feel like you are struggling with anything. They give you plenty of resources that may suit your learning capabilities better. There is a lot of hands on teaching for those who have never served in the field previously, and that is very beneficial."

"Vanderbilt University is an excellent institution. The classes are rigorous and have always prepared me well for the next level. The professors are intelligent and care about your success. The student community is also great. There are also many opportunities to be involved on campus."

"Vanderbilt University's MSN program is extremely challenging; VERY challenging. However, I believe that it is worth the endeavor. The master's of nursing prepares students to take the NCLEX quite well -- as a matter of fact it is above the national passing rate. Here is the link to their statistics: http://www.nursing.vanderbilt.edu/msn/examrates.html Additionally, Vanderbilt does their best to offer many of the students scholarships. The biggest difficulty of the program, for me, is commuting; I know of several other students who face this dilemma. It takes me almost 90 minutes to get to class. Also, good luck trying to find time to work."

"The graduate program at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing will provide a thorough and excellent educational experience. There is also a completely online nursing administration degree that is very helpful. The only con would be the expensive cost."

"Although the program is rather expensive, the cost is competitive in comparison to similar programs. The online MSN Health System Management program provided flexibility to maintain a full time job while completing the program. Faculty were supportive and available for assistance. I feel I gained a great education while enrolled in this program!"

"As an employee of Vanderbilt Medical Center, significant financial aid is given to those who attend Vanderbilt University. Other than the financial support, I feel my specific specialty is not the highest rated education when compared to national standards. One of the pros though is the ability to work while completing the course work due to the extensive work done online and at your own pace."
