"The pros of the program, I was allowed to get my masters within a year. The cons were that although I lived in another state, sometimes the I had to miss paying my mortgage for to months so that I could go to school."

"WKU offers amazing programs as the university is large enough to be competitive; yet small enough to have direct access to the professors. The Social Work program; both, BSW & MSW is bar none, top notch!!!"

"WKU Master of Social Worker program is focused on diversity and rural social work. The course content is good. The amount of work is a lot and not designed for someone working a full time job. Overall I would still recommend it."

"The Master of Social Work program at Western Kentucky University is perfect for people trying to attain a MSW while still working. The courses are offered on Saturdays as well as online, so it is very supportive for adults trying to maintain full-time jobs. Also, the faculty and staff in the MSW department are very helpful and informative. I have never had any problems contacting professors or staff members for academic information. Finally, WKU is located in Bowling Green, KY, and the city is very family friendly with lots of places for eating and entertainment. WKU is the happy medium of universities because it is not too big and not too small. It really is like being a part of a family at WKU!"
