"Beautiful campus and growing community. Offers the best of both worlds with a big campus vibe and small campus community"

"It is a nice place to study. Good campus and understanding faculties. The department where I did my graduation has good research options. The most important thing is that you get teaching opportunity in the labs which adds much to your CV and boost your confidence level if you are planning to go for teaching as a career in the future."

"The teacher's were always approachable and knowledgeable. The program was very organized and I knew the itinerary and weekly schedule for every class before the semester even started. I would recommend WKU to all!"

"I do not feel I can accurately weigh in on how things are on campus because I have attended one night class, an independent study, and a bi-weekly meeting of the minds for another class. I do feel safe when I am on campus, and anytime I have been on campus during the day I do not encounter problems- except for parking! EEK! I wish there was more emphasis on Financial Aid, as a student in the M.A. program, there is not much funding. The professors, however, are very welcoming and do treat you with respect. The workload is what you expect of graduate school, and I feel that it has really helped me develop to a "graduate level". I do wish there was more of a graduate variety for classes. Even more night/afternoon classes available. Overall, it's a great school and I have (so far) had a wonderful experience!"

"I am pursuing my master's degree in mathematics at WKU. I have been pleased with the quality of the rigor of the material that I am learning. I no longer have concern with an online degree in Mathematics. The faculty are more accessible than I could ever ask. I will be proud of the degree I will have earned."

"Pros - Very good program with a great return on investment. Professors are very helpful and always available to answer questions. Very diverse group of students with several international students. Several financial aid opportunities in the form of graduate assistantships. Cons - Not the best career support services, as job placement can be a little challenging following graduation. Alumni network could be improved."

"The opportunity to take an online program is vital for someone like myself who is currently employed but looking to heighten their job-opportunity ceiling. The only con in my opinion would be access to professors, whose workloads don't allow them to quickly respond to any emailed questions."

"My graduate faculty is amazing. Every faculty member is here to help us in any way possible. The small program size also allows for relationships to form and a sense of community between students."

"Pros of my program: I believe that I am learning material and information that will benefit me in a practical way once I am in my career, the faculty is very supportive, available and has a desire to see me and every other student succeed, the program caters to non-traditional students as well as traditional students, I actually enjoy and learn while in my classes. Cons of my program: I don't believe that WKU's Student Affairs program is valued by many other schools"

"WKU has demonstrated attention to detail and interest in the quality of students they select in their graduate program. WKU considers their students based on grades, writing quality, test scores, recommendations, undergraduate coursework, and extracurricular activities. Paying attention to these criteria demonstrates the school is selecting the best qualified individuals to learn and work in this field of study. Students selected to this program prove to be well-rounded in a variety of topics, thus making them great candidates for becoming speech and language pathologists. One thing WKU may want to offer in the future is study-abroad externship possibilities. Clinical techniques and patient problems with speech and language vary in each country. Having this opportunity would allow students to gain more invaluable knowledge and experience, and it may help open doors to other career opportunities."

"I have never been a "school person" but I really enjoy learning new things just didn't really like the classroom environment. Going to college opened my eyes to the world. I'm from a small country town and have always only known that until leaving for school and now I'm so happy with the decision I made to attend WKU. It's truly been a humbling and learning experience."
