"This graduate program does a very good job at preparing their students to enter the work force. The professors are knowledgeable and are willing to work with students to help them learn and not just receive a degree. Kalamazoo is also a wonderful college town that offers a lot to it's students."

"Western Michigan has offered me a wonderful start to my graduate program in social work. The professors are friendly, academically versed, and always willing to support me. Kalamazoo, Michigan has been a wonderful destination for my young family too. It provides free transportation to campus, weekly city-sponsored cultural experiences, and diversity."

"I think the Social Work program overall is fantastic. The only negative experience that I have had involve the faculty's lack of communication in some situations. However, that has not taken away from my experience in any significant way."

"I really enjoy WMU so far. I enjoy that the have multiple programs for different student needs. For instance, they have advanced programs and also programs for people who work full time. I have found this to be extremely beneficial and would choose WMU for an MSW anyday!"

"I am enrolled in the MSW program at WMU's regional site in Benton Harbor. I feel that the limited options provided and limited supports offered do not compare to those offered to the main site's student body. I feel that this is a disservice, due to the fact that we at the regional site pay a larger tuition for this "privilege.""

"The strengths of my graduate program were the great variety of field placement for your social work internship. The staff and professors were quite knowledgeable in their fields of study. Due to the fact that my undergraduate degree from another college called Kuyper College was set up in a similar way to Western's master's program I was better prepared to do well at this school. I wish that there would have been a greater variety of courses to take in interpersonal studies that focused on how to counsel specific population groups."
