"The small classroom settings improve the learning environment for each individual. It allows the professor and student to interact on a one on one basis and develop a relationship. The faculty is always willing to provide support and help to students. They are always open to give advice and encouragement as well. The self directed learning style is a new style of teaching that can be difficult to adjust to."

"The faculty are great and provide a quality graduate education. The surrounding area, parking, safety, etc. could be improved on the downtown campus area."

"The strengths of my graduate program were the great variety of field placement for your social work internship. The staff and professors were quite knowledgeable in their fields of study. Due to the fact that my undergraduate degree from another college called Kuyper College was set up in a similar way to Western's master's program I was better prepared to do well at this school. I wish that there would have been a greater variety of courses to take in interpersonal studies that focused on how to counsel specific population groups."

"This is a good program, but I wish the internships were more consistent in offering hands on work."

"I am a late career, commuting grad student but I have found my work results and training here can compete with any major national doctoral programs. The school has a good name in my field but has been very approachable in recent years. I appreciate the administration and department working with my circumstances. It was a good choice to complete my PhD here."
