"Choosing WLC was right for me especially with the Marine Biology program. They had amazing in-field experience opportunities for our degree. One of my favorites was studying coral reefs on the Caribbean island of Grenada. Another amazing opportunity was to study marine ecosystems in Jamaica. There was also on campus opportunities as well. We could stop at one of the marine marine tanks throughout our science building. Even though we are not close to marine life, there was many freshwater activities to explore techniques and learn such as river shocking and invasive species removals in lakes. WLC also allowed me to be a four year collegiate athlete while performing in school. This not only helped me gain friendships and teammates, but also helped me with time management and responsibilities."
