" Strong network, access to classes outside of the business school. School does not place well in all sectors"

"The people here are really nice and helpful. The research atmosphere is also very good. Students help each other without too much competition, and the most pressure comes only from oneself who wants to do well. The administrative staff is not very active about explaining what's going on with the school, but they are always available to answer questions."

"Cons: The New Haven area outside of Yale is notoriously "bad neighborhood," with a bit-too-often rate of crime coming onto the Yale campus itself. However, generally being smart about your surroundings (not walking around alone at 1am) will keep you completely safe, and the Yale campus security is quite dedicated to alleviating any problems. The cost of being in this area, while better than the nearby New York or Boston, is quite high; you can expect your money to go much less far than in more rural places. Pros: While the surrounding city climate is a bit undesirable, the Yale Campus itself is a sprawling beauty in the middle of New Haven. The museums and galleries are fantastic and the tours of Yale are great as well. The best "pro" for me is the Physics department: if you find Yale to have the kind of research you are looking for, then you will have no problem with the faculty, staff, chair, and fellow students. The professors are open and helpful, including as research mentors. You'll keep busy but appropriately so, and if you have a great group of fellow students as I do, you will have a correspondingly great academic support system. Overall, I recommend this University wholeheartedly."

"New Haven is not the most fun place to spend time, but Yale's reputation and financial support, as well as the quality of the student body, makes it easily the best choice in the country for law school. Having no real grades and no class rank does not hurt either."

"Pros: very accessible and incredibly talented faculty. One of the lowest professor-to-student ratios in the country. Cons: located in small town with high crime levels."

"SOM provides an amazing experience. The small size allows students to really get to know their classmates and professors, while leveraging the resources and network of the entire Yale system."

"Can't imagine attending another of the four programs I was accepted to and having the experience be quite as good as the one I'm having now. From academics to social life to career support, Yale SOM has it all."

"The Yale System makes Yale School of Medicine. We are able to mould our education in the direction we wish and focus not only on learning medicine but on our eventual career within the greater health system. I absolutely love it here!"
