In selecting a university I believe its important to research the community not just at the city level but also the community within your selected field of study. Also quality of education; does my teacher actually teach me or teaches at me. With Alabama A&M I had a strong community of teachers who sought to educate me, mentor me, motivate me and groomed me to become a competent social worker today. Feels like home. Alabama A&M University made me feel like a family member and not just a number. Alabama A&M University created an atmosphere for learning. I was always comfortable making mistakes knowing that fellow classmates, faculty, and staff would assist in learning a better way to approach lifes problems.
