Salary and Debt by Major at A-B Tech
We calculated a Salary Score for each of A-B Tech's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. This way, students can compare the relative salary strength of a specific major at A-B Tech to the same major at other schools. A school's overall score by level is based on the school's by-program performance weighted by student enrollment in each program. Data is sourced from the December 2020 release of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and reflects median alumni debt upon graduation and median alumni earnings in the year after graduation for students who received federal financial aid. I've been in the field a long time but went through the Vet Tech program to be able to get the license. This program is pretty much basics and trash. I was raised with the mindset of giving and receiving respect yet this program demands that you give respect when it's not received. If you have a job (which most adults need to pay for schooling, bills, and life), they will not respect your time! Asheville Buncombe Technical School is a great starter school to knock out undergratuate credit hours, the courses are offered on a flexible schedule to those who are working through school. Dr. Rock Dodridge in the psychology department is an amazing inspiring teacher. I found other classes to not be as challenging though.
