Salary and Debt by Major at Belmont University

We calculated a salary score for each of Belmont University's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. This way, students can compare the relative salary strength of a specific major at Belmont University to the same major at other schools. A school's overall score by level is based on the school's by-program performance weighted by student enrollment in each program. Data is sourced from the December 2020 release of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and reflects median alumni debt upon graduation and median alumni earnings in the year after graduation for students who received federal financial aid. Debt and salary numbers are shown rounded to the nearest $10.

It is disappointing how students and veterans of the graduate school were treated during the spring semester when COVID 19 hit and in-person classes were cancelled. The university compromised its academic integrity in some courses and “put the screws” to students in others, after restricting on campus access. If we wanted to go to school online, we would pay less and do that elsewhere, but we saw the advantage of learning in a classroom and studying with our peers. It's hard to justify a Music Business degree, no matter how generously you slice it. Still, academics aside, I loved going to Belmont. I grew tremendously in character and confidence in their student leadership opportunities, and I treasure the friendships I made with students and staff alike. It's a beautiful campus with beautiful people, I simply question my choice to study Music Business here or anywhere.
