Salary and Debt by Major at California Lutheran University

We calculated a salary score for each of California Lutheran University's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. This way, students can compare the relative salary strength of a specific major at California Lutheran University to the same major at other schools. A school's overall score by level is based on the school's by-program performance weighted by student enrollment in each program. Data is sourced from the December 2020 release of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and reflects median alumni debt upon graduation and median alumni earnings in the year after graduation for students who received federal financial aid. Debt and salary numbers are shown rounded to the nearest $10.

Beware. Graduated with MS higher ed student affairs. Worked at CLU as a academic advisor and interned in a different department as part of degree requirement. 8 months after graduation=no jobs. Applied for Several positions at CLU, even the advising position I worked that ended due to a lack of grant funding. Did not even get an interview from the school where I earned my MS! As a matter of fact, none of the 15 job seakers in my cohort have jobs. Similar story about CLU commitment to alumni. No interviews... Read More

I feel very grateful to be able to be learning from my professors own counseling experiences in the field as well as hands-on experience through counselor observations, internships and practicums. The leaders of this program are there for us every step of the way through support and school counseling contacts. When I graduate, I will feel very much prepared and ready to face my career....
