Salary and Debt by Major at Cal State East Bay

We calculated a Salary Score for each of Cal State East Bay's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. This way, students can compare the relative salary strength of a specific major at Cal State East Bay to the same major at other schools. A school's overall score by level is based on the school's by-program performance weighted by student enrollment in each program. Data is sourced from the December 2020 release of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and reflects median alumni debt upon graduation and median alumni earnings in the year after graduation for students who received federal financial aid. Debt and salary numbers are shown rounded to the nearest $10.

I'm a two time alum of the university so I'm a bit biased. But I truly enjoyed my time at CSUEB. For the reasons of seeing how the campus has grown from demolishing Warren Hall over 11 years ago, to now, where there is still continued growth. You will not get the Berkeley or Stanford experience but that's to be assumed for the price you pay. If your objective is to get in and get out with your degree in hand, then it's definitely the place for you. I do agree that some of the professors are only there for... Read More

I transferred from Southwestern community college where I had professors who had retired from UCLA , such as my economics professor and my History professor. Both very good teachers and knowledgeable. I applied at U.C. Santa Cruz and was accepted there, but could not accept because my wife's employment was in Oakland. I entered CSU Hayward but after 3 years of study there I began to see the college in a true light. The Departments have a yearly budget and the Geography /Earth Science Department was under funded...
