I chose to go to CAU because of the great history that this HBCU holds in the course of African American history, and because you take classes at each of the other HBCU's at the Atlanta University Center and Georgia State University. What I found as a non-traditional student who had a child just weeks before my senior year registration was compensation from the individuals in registration who refused to let me walk through the process, but instead did everything in my behalf. Clark Atlanta University was a great experience for me, my only regret is that I did not start there. I wanted to get away from my hometown and therefore I did not consider CAU in the beginning which I feel now, was a big mistake. I settled for a subpar program with not many opportunities.
