Franciscan University is great university for those seeking an education in a Catholic environment. The campus is safe, beautiful, and only a short drive from Pittsburgh. The Humanities and Catholic Culture degree is by far the most challenging and rewarding degree offered. It is perfect for those wishing to ground themselves in history, philosophy, and logic before going on to graduate studies. This school is unlike any other. The community is welcoming, warm and calls you on to be the best person you can be. It encourages the development of mind, body, and soul through truth, beauty and goodness. It is a smaller school, with a lot of character. The teacher to student ratio is very low 1:15. The largest programs are Theology, Philosophy, Nursing and Education. The Humanities and Catholic Culture major is a hidden gem of the school.
