Salary and Debt by Major at Kean University

We calculated a Salary Score for each of Kean University's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. This way, students can compare the relative salary strength of a specific major at Kean University to the same major at other schools. A school's overall score by level is based on the school's by-program performance weighted by student enrollment in each program. Data is sourced from the December 2020 release of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and reflects median alumni debt upon graduation and median alumni earnings in the year after graduation for students who received federal financial aid. Debt and salary numbers are shown rounded to the nearest $10.

This school was a complete waste of time and money. I was a student from 2012 until 2013, having already finished an Associates degree in Liberal Arts from a nearby Community College. I was a student at Kean for 2 years exactly and finished classes December 2013 and walked with the spring class in 2014. The school has a bunch of fraternities and sororities to choose from. They allegedly have an anti-hazing policy at the school, which is 100% ignored by every frat on campus. Hazing is pretty much the only method... Read More

If you are planning to gain your BSN, don't go here. First, the program takes long to complete. If you already have a degree, why are you required to jump through the hoops? Alot of required course work, that has nothing to do with nursing. This program should be completed in 6-12 months, instead of three years! Second, this school requires two clinical rotations..why? I'm already a nurse, there's no need for unpaid free work. This program is not designed for busy working nurses, as the discussion post requires... Read More
