The world had fascinated me increasingly as I mature and I have an intense desire to study different components of it including geology, ecology, and atmospheric sciences. The natural forces that affect our planet and the way we interact with it is extremely interesting and offers immense opportunities in multiple career fields. I have had a steady focus on environmental sciences since high school and plan on using my degree to make an actual, visual change in the world in order to leave it in a better state... Read More than which I found it. The more I learn and expand my knowledge of geosciences, the greater I yearn to discover more. I plan to do so by transferring to a teaching program after earning of my science degree in order to pass on the knowledge I have obtained throughout my early career. Specifically, I hope to make a change in the way we generate our electricity and the often negative stigma surrounding the use of sustainable energy resources. I also hope to target the issue of clean water sources provided and the alarming rate at which we are depleting our reserves. These are my specific goals that Manchester Community College has helped me formulate and achieve through rigorous coursework and clear goals that are manageable and well set to provide me with a solid future career. The faculty is extremely motivated to help its students reach their goals and/or transfer to a four year university to do so.
