Mills college MBA program is an excellent program to attend. I had a great experience moving to Oakland from San Diego in order to attain my MBA. It was a great move for me because the college is strategically located near Silicon Valley and a thriving Oakland community. I had plenty of job opportunities after graduating because of its location to major companies. The campus itself is situated in the hills which are very lush and green. Its about a thirty-minute train ride into San Francisco from Oakland.... Read More The buildings on campus are beautiful as well as the main MBA building which is leed certified. The MBA program also offers many interesting disciplines to focus on. Instructors were very knowledgeable, some taught at UC Berkeley which is just a shuttle ride from the Mills campus. There is a shuttle that the school offers to take students around Oakland. Its very easy to find housing in Oakland or in San Francisco. Financial aid is available and counselors work closely with you to determine your award package. The school is an all women college however the MBA program is coed. It was nice that the cohort was predominantly female which is unique to this school. Most schools are about 50/50 coed. I was extremely satisfied with the impact the degree had on my career. It influenced my income potential greatly. The program itself could have been a bit more rigorous and in depth in certain areas but overall the program was very good.

Mills College Lorry I. Lokey School of Business and Public Policy Graduate program is an amazing program. One of the reasons why I decided to apply here was because of its location and the relationship it has with the community. Being apart of the Mills family affords me the opportunity to be hands on with local communities and make a change. Read More love most about the program is that it offers small class sizes which creates a very interpersonal education. The school does a fantastic job with creating relationships between Alumnus and current students to provide more insight of life after graduation and personal experiences of working in the field. I'm given the resources and tools needed from faculty, my cohort and Alumnus to tailor and personalize my education. Furthermore, I am being taught by professors who are and were elected officials in local government which ensures me that I am getting a quality education. This experience is much different from my experience in undergrad. I obtained my Bachelor's degree at San Francisco State University. I did learn a lot from being exposed to a highly diverse environment with lots of passionate people, but I was not afforded small class sizes and my professors weren't as available as they are at Mills. SFSU is a very large campus with lots of students and I didn't feel as important there as I do at Mills. Now, I receive the attention needed to excel while studying for my Graduate degree, then I was just a number, not a valued student.
