While NMT is impressive with the quality of its degrees, the students around campus have little chance to meet and there is just no good community for the students. Along with not giving the students a good outlet, several teachers talk down to students when you ask them questions. Overall, the school gave a detent education but the interaction between students was very poor.

Despite the name, New Mexico Tech's real value is in it's people. There are incredibly talented professors in several fields (and just about all of them are nice, too!) I highly recommend taking a look at the interests of current faculty here if you plan to pursue a graduate degree.
