Salary and Debt by Major at Norfolk State University

We calculated a Salary Score for each of Norfolk State University's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. This way, students can compare the relative salary strength of a specific major at Norfolk State University to the same major at other schools. A school's overall score by level is based on the school's by-program performance weighted by student enrollment in each program. Data is sourced from the December 2020 release of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and reflects median alumni debt upon graduation and median alumni earnings in the year after graduation for students who received federal financial aid. Debt and salary numbers are shown rounded to the nearest $10.

GO TO ANY OTHER SCHOOL IF POSSIBLE! The office staff is lazy, rude, and rarely helpful. Teachers are OK, some good, most bad- by bad I mean they ramble on about non related course material, they teach directly from the book without adding helpful professional experience or knowledge to the lessons, or they just cancel class a lot. The facilities are new but rarely operable- frequent wifi and power outages. They love prioritizing their atheltics above education, the sports teams just got 3 new tour buses while... Read More

Enrolling at Norfolk State University is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I learned so much about life and met so many wonderful people. To this day, my former professors are always willing to help me with my career. The staff and professors genuinely care about the students' welfare and progress. I had a final on the day my graduation application was due and my academic advisor drove me across campus to ensure I met the deadline!
As a teacher, I am proud to say that I've inspired many of my former... Read More
