Salary and Debt by Major at North Carolina Central University

NC Central's music program is a mainly centered in jazz. There isn't an overwhelming amount of faculty so this is a positive thing when being able to know new material. The ratio it has is with jazz, vocal jazz and big band. I believe any young musician trying to study there should prepare for the traditions of the school and also think about how much they know and want to know because all individuals that I met and the friendships and the degree that I came out with, provided me direction on improvisation... North Carolina Central University is a great institution. Being a student here has truly shaped me into the person that I am today, The BRITE program (at least when I was attending) is one of the smaller programs within the school, which made my experience amazing. Because of the smaller cohort, it was possible to get more one-on-one time with faculty members. Additionally, the program has their own in house tutoring and career services for students to utilize.
