Please GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This school is not worth it. They do not care about the students and you will be teaching yourself. When I say teaching yourself i say this because you will be tested on material that was never presented in class. Your test will contain about a minimum of 8 chapters and you are lucky if you covered 3 chapters in class. They are extremely disorganized. Their staff quits after one semester, that should tell you enough. None of my teachers were at graduation because they all quit. Your clinical hours will all be spent in simulation. The program has not been revised in so long that the information they provide you with is outdated (older than 5 years, not APA appropriate). The dean is nonexistent and is set in her ways. The current staff that has been there have been teaching over 20 plus years and they are not in touch with nursing today and what it means to be a bedside nurse. Please look somewhere else, nursing school is a challenge in itself do not add more stress to your life. Nursing is an amazing profession but PHSC will make you regret your choices.

Do not attend this RN program. I am in the 3rd semester of the Associates in RN program at PHSC. This is the second semester in which we are unable to go to clinical sites. This restriction is not due to covid-19, but to staffing issues. The school is unable to keep staff on board. Before this semester, we had a meeting with the new professors that would be teaching us, 2 women, but when the semester started, they were no longer with the college. We also learned that 3 campuses would be combined due to staffing... Read More shortage, this increased our class size to almost 50 students. We started the semester and had 3 professors, the one who would be helping with clinical left at the beginning. Then, they claimed to have acquired another professor to aid in clinical experience, we were told that person fell through the day before we were set to begin hospital orientation. I have never experienced such poor planning. My education and experience in nursing school has been so negatively impacted by this school and administration. Whenever I contact admin about the concerns I am having, I am met with hostility. Additionally, in our first semester, the college was unable to disburse financial aid refunds until October due to poor planning related to the switch to a different student portal. Administration ended up switching back to the old student portal. Save yourself the headache and choose a different school.
