Salary and Debt by Major at Sam Houston State University

We calculated a Salary Score for each of Sam Houston State University's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. Sam was a school that allowed for flexibility in learning. As an adult going to school to pivot careers the faculty was easy to work with and provided ample opportunity to speak with them about issues. The main campus is not conveniently located, but The Woodlands campus has many programs available.

Sam Is a Good school if you’re going mainly for CJ majors but not really for Pre-Vet. A lot of students ended up changing to another Animal Science major and still were not satisfied. You don’t learn about zoo animals at all and if you do it’s rare. You mainly learn about livestock and game animals. Which is not bad but it just seems like that’s all you will be learning besides the core and chemistry classes. The names for some of the classes are misleading as-well as the description for you’r minor. Also... Read More
