Salary and Debt by Major at San Francisco Art Institute

We calculated a Salary Score for each of San Francisco Art Institute's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. This way, students can compare the relative salary strength of a specific major at San Francisco Art Institute to the same major at other schools. A school's overall score by level is based on the school's by-program performance weighted by student enrollment in each program. Data is sourced from the December 2020 release of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and reflects median alumni debt upon graduation and median alumni earnings in the year after graduation for students who received federal financial aid. Debt and salary numbers are shown rounded to the nearest $10.

I would not recommend applying to SFAI at the moment it does not offer much in terms of support for an artist future and or present. it languish in the past honours but has done little to nothing to usher in any radical thought . It has no career services . i appreciated this institution in the past but where it is today is a grave disillusion on possible. but to spend close to 65,000 a year here is not worth it.... Beautiful campus and very help professors. Had every resource a painter could need or want to practice their craft. I found the courses, my studio and my time there very valuable. Cost of tuition is an issue for all students without parents funding their every move. SFAI is a private Art School and it costs the same as you would imagine a private fine art school costing in CA.
