Salary and Debt by Major at Shawnee State University

We calculated a Salary Score for each of Shawnee State University's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. This way, students can compare the relative salary strength of a specific major at Shawnee State University to the same major at other schools. A school's overall score by level is based on the school's by-program performance weighted by student enrollment in each program. Data is sourced from the December 2020 release of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and reflects median alumni debt upon graduation and median alumni earnings in the year after graduation for students who received federal financial aid. Debt and salary numbers are shown rounded to the nearest $10.

The program director and staff were knowledgeable and helpful. They cared about the students understanding of the subject and wanted to prepare the students as best as they could for our future careers. The program and staff were amazing and worked one-on-one with the students as much as necessary. That being said, the job market is less than favorable for any new/recent graduates of ANY Radiation Technician programs. Students should be advised that the chances of gaining employment within 6 months is very... Read More

Shawnee State University is mainly known for its game design, nursing, and dental hygiene programs. Campus if fairly small with all of the class building being in one central location, except for the education building. The dorms are large and apartment style with 2 bathrooms, a stove, sink, refrigerator, and plenty of kitchen space. The professors are willing to work with you and meet with you outside of class to answer any questions you may have. Some classes can be around 100+ students, but w hen it comes... Read More
