Salary and Debt by Major at Worcester Polytechnic Institute

We calculated a Salary Score for each of Worcester Polytechnic Institute's programs by comparing program-specific median alumni earnings to median alumni earnings for the same program across all schools that provide this data. This way, students can compare the relative salary strength of a specific major at Worcester Polytechnic Institute to the same major at other schools. A school's overall score by level is based on the school's by-program performance weighted by student enrollment in each program. Data is sourced from the December 2020 release of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard and reflects median alumni debt upon graduation and median alumni earnings in the year after graduation for students who received federal financial aid. Debt and salary numbers are shown rounded to the nearest $10.

I was accepted into the Certificate Program, but I was told by their own staff and professors that I will likely not be accepted for a Graduate Program. I have a GPA of 4.0, but professors still say that they don't know me well enough to give me recommendations for the Graduate Program. One professor even said, "hey, I'm not even sure I would be accepted if I applied!" I feel unsupported, and demotivated thanks to lack of cooperation from professors who are fine with giving me A's for my hard work in class,... Read More

Overall, WPI is an OK school. If you want to go here for IMGD, you are better off burning all of your money than going here as that would save you 4 years. This program is a mess. The classes don't teach what they need to, there aren't enough resources for the small number of students they have, and most of the professors act like children who have been given too much power. On multiple occasions I have heard professors s**t talking students to other students and bully students with mental disabilities. This... Read More
