"I really enjoyed my time at CSUN. The campus is nice, including the library and student gym. The professors are also very knowledgable and fair when it comes to grading. The campus is also near various restaurants in which students can quickly gograb lunch. There is also alot of parking locations on campus."

"Good school with good prices. I Like all the professors. Everyone was very professional and had positive attitude. I am currently considering going back to school and continuing my education with Masters Degree. I also loved the campus and the tuition prices are very good for California."

"I have always been fascinated with Life Sciences throughout my student years in CSUN once I have come to realize that no other subject sparks my interest to learn more about it. I wanted to know how living organisms function and what they consist of. A cell, building block of life is where it all starts. It is such an exciting field of study and research. At that point in my life I have made the decision that I would like to be a part of it. Biology of cancer and biology of viruses classes in particular that I took as an undergrad helped me understand the importance of drug discovery and Biotechnology as a whole. Finding the cure for cancer and infectious diseases is just one of areas where Biotechnology comes into play but to me it is the most intriguing one because there are still a lot of black areas to uncover and critical scientific breakthroughs will have been reached in the near future. My first stepping stone was year 2008 when I received my Bachelors degree in Biology/minor in Chemistry from California State University Northridge. I believe CSUN Biology department has a good amount of instructors that are very knowledgeable in the subject and willing to help you in the learning process. CSUN name is very well known in California so getting a degree from there will definitely help you to get your foot in the door into the industry or decent grad/professional school in the future."

"If you want to go to a school that has professors which teaching is their focus and not their own research , apply to California State University, Northridge (CSUN). In comparison to more prestigious institutions in California such as in the University of California school system, professors are burdened by the pressures of producing research or grants from their respected institutions. Yes, this pressure does occur in the California State University system but much less. Overall, my education at CSUN has propelled me to gain an acceptance to UCSF School of Dentistry and I am grateful to CSUN."

"Most of the teachers involved in the sciences here are excellent teachers. Some times it is about finding the right teacher for the way you learn. The program requires a lot of dedication and hard work. The expectations of performance are high for all students. It is a very competitive field. To feel properly prepared for the outside world and jobs in this field, getting involved in research is very important. I recommend joining two research groups if possible. The real world jobs expect you to know your information and the real life application of it in a lab. The teachers are very helpful well asking them for help or advice."
