Graduation Year: 2015
"I will admit that I had heard a lot of negative things about the school even before I decided to attend. Needless to say, I decided to go for it any ways. I'm sure that everyone has had different experiences, but as for my own personal experience, I'd say it went pretty well. I worked hard and accomplished much more than I had planned to. I began with accounting and decided to double major in administrative assisting as well. The instructors were great. They helped when needed and were able to explain things in a way I found easy to understand. I will say that were were a few issues as far as scheduling, but for the most part I think that was mainly my own fault because I was going through my classes at a faster pace than expected. Anyways, I finished out my degree program with the extern as required. I did mine at a small CPA firm and it was great. The experience really helped me get a better idea of the field outside of the textbooks and labs. I finished my extern on Monday, filled out end of program paperwork Tuesday and talked to career services, had an interview on Wednesday, and started working on Thursday. I make enough money to support my family and things are really coming together. As for the credits not transferring, I heard that too and I was worried when I graduated. Fortunately, I talked to someone at DeVry and they were able to run my transcript through to see how many credits would transfer over. Although not all of them transferred, many of them did, and I'm now working on my Bachelor's degree through DeVry."
