"I went here in recommendation of someone I trusted and love and for me it was NOTHING but nightmares for me! I completed my program and they screwed up my final bill. They are expecting me to pay something I DID NOT agree with it. I plan on going for my graduate degree at another university and because of their dishonesty, I may NOT be able to get my transcript from them because of the outstanding bill. So, bottom line they are holding up me pursing my career. That is NOT fair to me because I worked hard for my bachelor's, especially during an extremely tough time in my life. Which I did not let it stop me. So, you can say I am NOT VERY happy right now!!! They are just "money hungry". So much for practicing their "Christian Worldview" - their so called "Christian ways". I hold them responsible for messing with my future now. Next time I won't listen to someone's recommendation."

"Wow! This is my second time writing a review on GCU. I felt my first review may have been a little unfair to them. Until I read other reviews and saw that they were treated exactly the same as I was. I won’t make this a long review. I’ll make it short and honest. If you are an online student such as I was, keep looking. If you are military in anyway thinking you’ll get a break, forget about it. If you think they’re a Christian school with morals and Christian ethics, it won’t take much to see otherwise. The bottom line, it’s money for them. They’ll take your money, and could care less about your degree. Please keep looking past GCU. I think I could write a book about how bad they treated me. They have all these commercials about going there…. I warn you- be very afraid. You’ll probably come up short."

"GCU is a great school! Everyone in NY that has gone there is I found the 8-week online class sequence to be very thorough, with academic rigor. As an online student, you have to do 8 discussion posts (APA format) with references to make a substantive post that will earn you a 100% for the participation points. In my experience, I have learned that at GCU, there is a lot of reading in my online program. The classes are writing intensive, and there are 1-2 projects (be it essays, filling in charts with research, etc.) every week. Professors are faithful, friendly and experienced (for the most part. I did have a grade appeal because one of my professors (I have taken over 10 classes here) didn't have due diligence in opening up an assignment because I sent him the wrong assignment through the online platform. I didn't see what the problem was since every other professor knows how to do it. My grade appeal was denied, but at least I got a B+. My only complaints are that it costs twice as much to finish your degree sooner, than just taking one class at a time. I found this school with Chapel on Mondays (that are live-streamed). I am from NY, so I found this to be very refreshing"

"Always rate your professors 100/100 or 10/10 because of the new systems in which teachers can see who rated them. There are GPS applications and new software such as "dragon" in which teachers can see their feedback! This way students will pass their class. God bless everyone in the name of Jesus amen!"

"In the spring of 2016, I graduated with my bachelor's degree in sociology from Grand Canyon University. I enjoyed the social and spiritual aspects of GCU, and the staff adequately prepared me for admissions into occupational therapy graduate school at Midwestern University. Though my program was not extremely rigorous, I formed strong connections with my peers and faculty members, and I was equipped with wonderful service opportunities. While I was at GCU, I led student youth groups and went on several mission trips to South Africa. Further, because GCU accepted many of my transfer credits from high school, I was able to graduate an entire year early. Overall, my professors and advisors were all passionate about contributing to my success. Granted, the curriculum was not exceptionally challenging, but my global and critical thinking skills were broadened through ethical discussions and service projects. Now, I am enrolled in occupational therapy school and on the path to become a geriatric occupational therapist. If anyone is looking to study humanities and social sciences, I would highly recommend Grand Canyon University, as the studies will give you ample time for extracurricular pursuits while also equipping you to take the potential next step into graduate school."
