"The Master of Science in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University has been providing me with knowledge and skills for behavioral, emotional, psychological, and social issues. Topics covered have been addiction and substance abuse, abuse crisis, marriage and family counseling, and more including diagnosis, assessment, and treatments. What my program didn't cover was criminal behaviors, perspectives on society, social control, restorative justice for victim assistance, and legal research involving statutes, regulations, and court decisions. These are all areas I need to work with Domestic or Intimate Partner Violence survivors. I look to work extensively with survivors and wish to continue on with any movements in the justice system."

"Overall, the program is rigourous and beneficial for those aspiring to be literacy coaches. The classes are made to be engaging and informative, however, the faculty that have been chosen for the classes are not up to par for the program."

"The program allows for the adult to learn in an environment which collaboration and communication are stressed, encouraged and in many instances demanded. The instructors allowed the student to learn at a pace which is reasonable with clear access to them daily. I could not ask for a better program and better yet, a better university."
