"I have attended both in-person classes and online classes at GCU. In-person classes were considerably better. Online instructors seem preoccupied with day jobs and do not seem invested in the success of their students. After graduating the masters program, I found out that GCU does not give honors or class rankings to graduate students. This would have been a deciding factor in choosing a school, so I am not very happy to learn this after the fact. I worked hard and very likely would have been top of my class. Honors are valuable on resumés, so this is pretty upsetting. Overall, I learned a lot and the school is good for people who are working. But personally, I wish I had gone to another university."

"DO NOT choose this school!!! Started my first class and got half way through when Hurricane Florence hit. I contacted my instructor, enrollment counselor, and student services counselor. They were not concerned at all with the fact that I was homeless and lost everything, only that they re-enroll me in the class and charge me a second time. When I asked for a leave of absence, they refused, stating that because I had failed the first class (due to the hurricane and no internet or computer) and had not logged into the repeat class, that they were forcing me to take, I could not get a leave of absence. Instead, they send my financial aid back and withdrew me leaving me with an outstanding balance of almost $3000. It is almost impossible to get in touch with anyone at the school other than the two counselors you are assigned. There is not directory for offices such as financial aid, academic affairs, etc. This school is a scam. They are only after money and are not concerned with their students at all."

"I completed my undergraduate degree at a public state university and am now completing my graduate degree at Grand Canyon University. From the moment I first stepped on campus, I could immediately feel the difference between the two. At GCU, you are not a number--you are cared for as a person and guided every step of the way towards a smooth enrollment. Post enrollment, the staff are still making sure you are doing ok, asking if you have any questions, or guiding you to different resources that will make you successful in your studies. The resources this university has astounds me and helps you immensely in the difficult process of writing graduate-level academic papers. I couldn't be happier with my experience thus far at GCU! Go Lopes!"

"Courses were appropriate to my field. Instructors were knowledgeable, courteous, and willing to share experiences. While I did wonder how some students were admitted into the university, I assumed that their grades would reflect their work. I would recommend the university to friends and colleagues."

"The online system of LoudCloud is possibly the best system I have ever used. It is accessible, user-friendly, and organized with a calendar of discussions and assignments noted from the minute you log in. I feel that the education I have received is of high quality, but the tuition was not high. The courses are four credit/ 8 week courses, allowing enough time to learn and apply the material, but not overdoing it by only taking one class at a time. This was not the first online institution I applied and took courses with, but it is the one I will finish with. Because I am comfortable and surrounded by a successful atmosphere, from the online system to the faculty, I feel as though I can succeed and my GPA reflects such. I have no faults with this institution and I recommend everyone who is looking to earn a degree online to put Grand Canyon University at the top of their list."

"(Some categories do not apply and are left blank intentionally. I am attending online.) Grand Canyon University fills a need for those of us not physically located near a University to attend face to face classes. Due to a move, I had to disenroll from my program and wanted to find somewhere that I could get started again quickly. Grand Canyon offers that opportunity with classes starting every month. The admissions process was ridiculously simple and may fool some into thinking that classes will be the same, but the academic challenge is there and you can't expect to waltz in and get a degree you don't work for. The distance learning program is extremely responsive to students and provide support throughout the process."

"I recently graduated from GCU's online MPA in Health Care Management. As with many online programs, you get out of it what you put into it. The course load was manageable with a full time work schedule due to the 8 week course format. I enjoyed connecting with students who live world wide and learning from their previous experiences. Overall, the value of the education was great as it is significantly less expensive than other graduate degree programs I had looked into but it does lack the resume 'wow factor.' If you are looking for a manageable graduate degree program that is a great value and won't put you into excessive debt, this is definitely the place for you!"
