Double major at the Indiana University - 12/30/2018
Graduation Year: 2004
"I graduated from Indiana University with double majors (Business Process Management and Islamic Finance) and double minors (Economics and International Studies). The Islamic Finance degree was not officially offered as a formal major. I proposed the curriculum under the auspices of the Individualized Major Program (IMP) and the Department of Religious Studies. Since both my majors were granted from different schools (Kelley School of Business and College of Arts & Sciences), I obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts. Careful planning would make it possible to finish the two degrees in four years as most requirements for both programs can be fulfilled concurrently. However, it took me an extra year due to my previous transfer from another university. Total credits I had accomplished were more than 140, but that was because there were credits from my prior university which did not fulfill any requirements. The business degree program came with two career development courses which proved to be very valuable down the road during my career. Unfortunately, the career service did not prove to be very useful. Maybe they are not designed for international student in mind. As one-fifth of the student body consist of international student, the office should have brought more international student-friendly employers to campus. Please be aware that it had been more than ten years since I graduated so the programs may change. Please check with the admission. The alumni office actively engaged with alumni despite my club reside in southeast Asia. I appreciate the engagement as they brought together alumni in my country regardless of their graduation classes a camaraderie that ranges from dinner parties, alumni outreach, and even to educational partnerships with local universities."

"The Kelley School of Business is highly ranked and rightfully so. I had an amazing four years with so many opportunities to get involved around campus, volunteer in the community, and work in teams to address complex business cases. An added bonus to a great education at a reasonable cost: Bloomington being one of the most beautiful college town you'll see."

"Indiana's Kelley School of Business not only prepared me for a career in global business processes, but provided first class job placement support. The network of Alumni's from IU is exceptional. As a bonus, the campus is beautiful, and student life at IU Bloomington is tough to beat. I highly recommend to any incoming prospective students."
