"Going to JBU really takes a lot. Not only financially, but mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally more than anything. During my time there a lot of horrible things happened. I refuse to go into detail but lets just say JBU sweeps most issues under the rug. Its a good college that does help with financial cost, but as far as issues with professors/students, they side with the professors and don't look out for their students or their safety. They will tell you otherwise I promise. I would not recommend getting a degree at this college for the sake of sparing your mental health. A lot of JBU students that have went there can testify to that. The campus does nothing to help your mental health and when you reach out for help, they basically ignore it. I would say to attend a better university that cares about the physical and mental health of their students. Feel free to comment for more information."

"This college is a christian college that applies religion in its courses. I joined because I thought that I would take 2 biblical classes, which is I thought would not be bad but then I noticed that they input religion in other classes as well and I struggled. I felt it would of been too much work to understand the religion and also the actual work on top of it I decided to drop the college and find another online college that would suit my needs more."

"The M.A. program at John Brown University is ideal for working adults. As a single father, the convenience of the online program was what prompted me to choose JBU. They offer one of the most competitive costs for this type of program. However, the ability to complete my M.A. in less than two years by taking one course at a time was ideal. Faculty and staff are extremely supportive and the ability to reach someone for immediate help is immeasurable."

"JBU will challenge you and will prepare you well for whatever field you are hoping to embark on. The professors are more than approachable because they care about students' success. The people on campus are welcoming and helpful, even if you don't know them very well. There is always something to do and there's always goals to reach."

"JBU is small enough to get a great deal of focused teaching from the professors, which is incredibly helpful when trying to learn the skills for your profession."

"JBU is an excellent university. They take pride in their Christian values and it shows in the characters of the professors. The degree program is challenging but prepares you for a career in counseling. Even though I have learned a lot in regards to the field of counseling; I have also gained a lot of life lessons thanks to JBU. The knowledge of the staff helps prepare young counselors, such as myself, for the challenging, but rewarding field of counseling."

"I found my online educational experience with John Brown University to excellent overall. The Christian perspective made for an uplifting and encouraging experience where professors genuinely seemed to care about your well-being and academic performance. However, with taking online courses you miss out on campus involvement and being able to discuss things in person with fellow students, professors, financial aid, etc. As a result, I only recently discovered the number of opportunities available for graduate students through my research for my son'so upcoming high school graduation."

"Very rude and not willing to work with students on payment plans, they just want their money and want it now. They truly only care about one thing and that is themselves and not about their students. Regardless how you try to work with them, they are not easy to work with."

"I experienced the most supportive and encouraging community of faculty, staff, and friends at JBU. In fact, I still connect often with many of my professors and friends for professional networking, personal references, or just to hang out if we are in the same city. JBU prepared me both intellectually and emotionally for life after college and I am really thankful that I chose to attend."

"John Brown University is a great school if you are looking for a Christian environment. It is located in a beautiful part of Northwest Arkansas, in a sweet little town that loves being a college town. For education majors JBU is ideal as you will be placed in classroom observational experiences from the first semester. The teachers show a genuine interest in the students, and love to help out however they can. What is special about JBU is the loving community feeling it inspires in the students."

"John Brown University is a school that truly cares about their students' success. They understand that work, life, and school balance can be hard for adults continuing their education so they work with students when they can. At John Brown University they incorporate God into the program and focus not only on educational growth (mind), but also on heart and soul. They want their students to be better professionals as well as enhance their personal lives. I appreciate how relevant the course content is to the real business world and find that because of this, the learning gained is more of a value rather than simply learning only book knowledge."

"John Brown University is exceptional in student support, both administratively and in the classroom. The majority of staff go above and beyond to provide the best higher education experience an upper level institution can provide, and are cost conscientious as well. Religious, but not mainstream, I was not made to feel out of place or unwelcome. John Brown is inclusive and non-discriminatory in my experience as an older, non-traditional student. Though my classes were primarily online, there were multiple opportunities to collaborate and debate with other students. When I am ready to move on to an MBA, John Brown is my University of choice."
