"The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) is a great international affairs masters program in the heart of Washington, DC. With great professors, ambitious students, and a strong alumni network, SAIS is a top notch program. It distinguishes itself from other graduate school programs by requiring every student to take 4-6 economics classes. Students can concentrate their studies by region (Latin America, Africa, Asia, etc.) or by theme (strategic studies, international development, international law, etc.) and can advance their language studies by deepening their knowledge of a language they have already studied or learn a new language. Moreover, by being located in Washington, DC, students have daily access to policymakers, diplomats, and international business leaders. SAIS students have the option to choose from a wide variety of classes, but students are not guaranteed the classes for which they want to register. A bidding system is used, leaving some students out of the classes they want. And although the program is well located, the SAIS main campus building is old and needs to be renovated. Finally, while there are a number of international students, certain regions of the world are underrepresented. I was accepted to Georgetown, Columbia, George Washington, and American University, but I am confident that I made the right decision to attend SAIS."

"This school provides a lot of networking opportunities in a very short period of time. It is beneficial to come in knowing what you want to do since the MPH program is only a year. Not knowing your future direction is a little more difficult, but there are many classes that you can take to help guide you in the direction that you would like. The course planning is very flexible. The costs for the school are quite high. The neighborhood that the school resides in is not the best area, but Baltimore in general has a lot to do and see!"

"I feel the majority of the MBA classes are not worth the $2200 i pay for each class. However, the finance classes are worth it. Overall, I'm probably just paying for the name on the diploma."

"Great Masters in Biology program. Workload is okay, but depends on what lab you have joined. Teaching Assistant position is mandatory but I had a very enjoyable time teaching in General Biology Lab. Coursework is light, which provides more time for your work in the laboratory. The mandatory seminar class teaches a lot about presenting and reading papers critically, both very useful skills for the future."

"I am currently a masters student in the BS/MS program of Materials Science and Engineering. The main pros of the program lie in the closeness of the department. Very good teacher to student ratio causes a very close relationship with professors. Also, closeness with other students allows for a decrease in cut-throat personalities in comparison to other departments. The only con is that it many classes are based on performance in comparison to the rest of the class. In a school with many high performing students, this can tend to become intimidating."

"The Masters of Science in Biotechnology program was excellent. The major "pro" is that you can complete the program as a distance student, although some concentrations (the MBA/MS double degree and the MS with a biodefense concentration) require that you take on-campus classes. The Johns Hopkins brand is excellent, and the professors were top-notch. The cost of the program was less than other comparable masters degrees, so I thought it was a good value."

"Pros Great collaborative, supportive environment, general sense of valuing education and putting time into making sure students know their stuff. Qualifying exam is tough. Decent support for grad student social activities. Cons Little support for learning computation/statistics without just taking an undergrad class. Still figuring out how to integrate new technology into the education process. Qualifying exam is tough. I'm not a big fan of the city of Baltimore, although some people like it."

"Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University is very good for music education. The facility is in downtown Baltimore. They try their best to keep the surrounds safe. The professors are excellent. The cost is high with not much scholarship money available."

"As with most graduate programs, the more effort you put into it the more you will get out. Being a student in the Advanced Academic Programs, I found that by talking to my advisor, other students, and professors there are many opportunties on and off campus other than just showing up to classes and studying."

"I would define my time at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School with one word: opportunity. This program will open doors for you if you knock on them, especially in the areas of healthcare, pharma, and biotech, but also in more conventional b-school realms like finance and consulting. Being a self-starter is key here, but for those with initiative you will not lack opportunity."

"The Carey Business School is experiencing a new and exciting time. The new Global MBA program has been well organized and serves to build compassionate business leaders of the future. Due to the program being so new, there are a few growing pains. However, administration is open to suggestions from students and wants to grow the school together."

"The education quality and academic competitiveness are two parts which I feel proud of the Johns Hopkins. However, the campus surroundings areas are not safe. And graduate can't apply for campus housing, because they don't have enough dorm!"

"If you want to be part of something really special, then Carey Business School is the right place for you! Think Facebook and Twitter few year back, they were start-ups with a promising vision. I chose the GMBA program at CBS because I liked the curriculum and knew that once the school gets accredited, there is no way to go but UP! the ranking ladders. As opposed to other well-established B-schools that find it very hard to tweak their curriculum or budge up the ranking. So far, I have been learning a lot and meeting smart dedicated people. It feels like being thrown in a think tank with endless venture/entrepreneurial ideas swimming around you!"

"I'm currently enrolled in the full-time Global MBA program and the most excited part about this program is our innovation for humanity project in which students are assigned to different emerging countries to do real-world project. Our program is a place where business is taught with humanity in mind."
