"There is a lot of pressure to attend college in general, and it was very difficult to discuss debt and financial obligations as an 18 year old kid. The job market is tough right now and I believe a lot of students are not prepared to go to college in the first place. However, I wanted to go to school, to be challenged and surrounded and supported by an artistic community and I found that. I would say you should not just go to school, specifically an expensive art school, if you aren’t certain that’s what you love. It’s hard. But I loved every minute of it and I love my career. I’m a fine art appraiser now in a different state and every day I get to learn about art and objects that were hand made. Something I think is becoming more rare and valuable in the world. It’s an honor."

"Pros - Great instructors - Get to work 1 on 1 with an advisor in your home state - Can complete your MFA degree from anywhere in the world as the program is Medium Residency Cons - Lack of close student contact - Distance from other students -"
