"This program is not for everyone. It is a great program for sell motivated people who can study on their own and stay motivated. I love this school and the program!! Since day one, the staff has been very helpful and I have never felt alone on this journey. The classes are tough and you have to stay on top of things. There are webinars for most of the classes and they help give you the classroom feel. There is also a community to meet other students and get help with questions. This program is not for everyone and I do recommend doing your research before signing up. It fits my life and I am very pleased."

"I really like this school, first of all I am a mom of 2 boys and my husband works every single day. Obviously child care is a big issue so it works out for me. My advise is keep to it, I've been waking up every morning at 5 so I can study before my kids wake up. I put in at least 3 hours a day. I really want this after waitressing for 7 years I realize how important education is for me. To all you moms out there you can do it dedicate yourself and finish. It's important that you guys do something for yourself .The people complaining about not being able to transfer credits who cares just finish and get your associates degree so you don't have to transfer your credits. That will always stay with you! I saved 35,000 dollars by doing this school not to mention how much on day care costs. I haven't gotten my degree yet, but I am working on it and so far doing great ."

"The staff at Penn Foster does not seem to want to help you at all to succeed. I understand that there are 10000 people enrolled, but they take their sweet time to get back to you ON TOP OF losing a lot of stuff that must be turned in before the practicums begin. I have been waiting for months to begin my last set of practicum skills and every time I turn in paper work, they find something wrong and send it back. I'm having to take off of my little animal job to go to the large animal clinic to finish skills, but there is always something wrong with everything I turn in (and they wont help me or say what I did wrong). I'm losing money and respect for this school."

"I currently attend the Veterinary Tech program, at first I was really unsure about it. But as I'm going onto my second year, I love it. People need to understand that yes they are slow at responding but, there are thousands of other students seeking help, and they provide first come, first serve" I currently work at a Kennel, and the knowledge I have gained from this program is so worth the slowness of the staff responding. And that is why they have the community, for you to seek help from others if they cannot assist you. The information is not out of date, the only thing that is, is the pictures on the study guides and what not... The textbooks that they provide you online or through the mail is up to date. I really recommend this school."

"I enrolled in this school because I thought finding practicum sites would be okay. When I finished all four semesters and had to do practicum 2, which entailed large annals, I was unable to obtain a site. I looked all over different states and whenever I said I was going to Penn Foster they refused to help me. The school had a bad rep. Unless you have a relationship already with a large animal clinic you are better off choosing a distance learning school who had an on site facility to do these skills or you will be very disappointed in the end. Many students have had this problem and the school will say otherwise. The courses are good but you are left on your own in the end and the school does not care. They already got your money"

"I was skeptical, like everyone else, about Penn Foster at first. I was worried about whether or not it was a college that could be taken seriously to receive a degree from. I have researched it many time and found that it a good, accredited school. I love the curriculum. I love the course work that I am given. Everything is at your own pace which was what mainly won me over. I went to a traditional technical school for one semester and dropped out because maintaining a 40+ hour work schedule with due dates for assignments and classes were too much. I am pleased that I can do this work at my own pace, on my time. All my assignments have been graded within a couple days. The material that they mail to you comes quick in the mail, but it's not even needed because they put the material online for you too, and I just mainly use that. The instructors are helpful with questions, and they have even helped me out when I didn't understand one of the assignments. Very pleased with the school. I am currently enrolled for associate in Vet Tech. I wish they had a bachelor program for it, but at least I do hope to enroll for their bachelor program for Business Management. I hope that it all pays off in the long run."

"This school is a joke. They move like slugs. They have CVT employees grading English papers, who have no idea what they are doing and each exam so far and I am through semester 2 I have had to have them correct but it was graded wrong. Very sad when you have to go back and correct your own tests because the instructors got it wrong. My English composition papers are still waiting to get graded after being submitted over three weeks ago. Doc Jim hides and doesn't deal with any of the conflict. I have reached out and emailed and called them 32 times to get past just this English Comp class....really scared to see how poorly they handle the next two semesters. Also....none of their credits transfer to other colleges....just beware!"

"I enrolled about a month ago. I love the classes. They allow you to work at your own pace. So, if work has you tired or the kids are screaming, you don't have to worry about doing any work. The testing is easy. Just read and highlight the important stuff and you'll be ok.I'm so glad I decided to come here. With a little dedication and some study time, you can make this program work PERFECTLY for you!!"
