"Penn State has one of the largest alumni networks in the country, which is part of the reason I decided to go there. The connections you can make for jobs are very important, as Penn Staters like to help out fellow alums. It is a really big school, which has its advantages, but it is also up to the students to make the school seem small. It is possible (and helpful) to develop relationships with faculty by sitting up front, asking questions, going to office hours, and participating in research."
