"As a graduate in the public administration arena, I am able to use my years of experience (26 years) and my degree to move up in a management role in a government organization. We never stop learning and I will encourage any student to continue their education."

"The degree plan for the Public Administration program has been enlightening so far. I have been challenged thoroughly due to the amount of open ended responses I have been allowed. Professors seek to create open dialogs among peers as to promote a more life like working structure with different ideals. It has been a challenge balancing out the acceptance of others opinions on situations that have influenced me and information that I have brought into the program. I enjoyed the quantitative theories that have been discussed and how to better apply them to local government specifically. Overall the program has served me well and I intend to use what I have learned to better my career in government."

"Getting my Master Public Administration from Texas Southern University prepared me to become a strong, and effective leader and manager. I developed quantitative and professional skills that will forever shape my future. The professors offered a wealth of knowledge and opportunities to grow as an individual and enhance your knowledge. Although it is a HBCU, students of all cultures could benefit from this extraordinary program."

"The program is actually very effective in getting students real world experience and work. But needs to do a better job of providing students with all necessary resources and tools. Students don't display a willingness to work and provide group discussion."

"The pros are that the professors are really concerned with how the students are doing. The cons are that the tuition is expensive."

"There were issues about the air conditioning in one of our classrooms. This was quickly addressed. Professors are very demanding in this program and expect a lot from their students. Since this is a graduate program, classes end in the evenings. The school is not very safe at night, but the school has provided escorts for those who feel they need it. It is an excellent program, and I hope to enjoy this semester."

"Texas Southern's eMPA program is an extensive program that focuses on the necessary academic attributes that are needed to become leaders in the public sector. This program teaches us the meaning of public service and its importance in our economy as well as grooms leaders who are focused on building teams and communities instead of individual goals."
