"the people below me writing reviews... either you were absent too much, or your a horrible student. you seriously, get 100% hands on help & they walk you through the entire schooling. san marcos campus is very polite, nice and helpful. professionalism is key and if you dont have it, your not going to make it through ANY school. dental students from uei are at a 98 % success rate. everyone who is just ranting about how bad the school is obviously didnt make the best of thier time here, if you are willing to go to school every single day with a bright face on then you will be more than likely to get hired right out of externship. so i wouldnt listen to any of these low life students complaining about how they cant get an education, when they probably didnt even graduate high school. everyone you talk to or come into contact with is a huge help here."

"To Anonymous post on January 07, 2011, yes one does have the opportunity to take advantage of the schools 7 day cancellation policy. However I love to rain on parades and it looks like storm weather for you. Let my first statement be that although, there maybe a cancellation policy 7 days is hardly enough time to gauge whether or not one is making a sound investment in ones future. As for the judgments you have made they could be no further from the truth. Most students strive for perfection when put in a position of investing their hard earned dollar into their education. This school has made an art of scamming students financially. As for the instructors one could not find a group less qualified. And yes one can learn from the book but students are not paying to learn from only a book if that were the case I would sit at home and just read. Not to mention for what we pay we should be afforded the best materials and learning aids possible especially if I am sinking $15,000 into my education. As for those who have posted before myself I am sure that their command of the English language is equal to that of your own. In your narrow minded myopic rant I have managed to site many discrepancies with your own grammar and verbiage. So let those that have been cheated speak their discontent and find their peace by allowing them the opportunity be heard without your oppressive droll. In my parting thoughts UEI will find any and every way to cheat you out of your hard earned money as will as the education you deserve. It would also be of interest to everyone considering attending UEI. That the Department of Education (D.O.E.) is currently investigating multiple allegations of fraud."

"I started my program in the Medical Assts. I am on my 3rd mod and love every day of it. From the get go, I started getting hands on. This was so important to me since I love to learn by being shown. I would highly recommend this school to anyone. As my favorite admissions rep stated, it's an investment worth a lot. As a young mother it really didn't sink in till I had nothing left to give to my kids, though they see me on a daily basis getting ready for school and they would tell me how happy and proud they are.. People say on this site that this is a rip off, though they do not understand that no one force them to register. it was our own free will. My representative said from day one, I need to make a choice. Good advise from him was, I need to take control of my destiny.. Be the driver instead of a passenger.. As the driver, we control where we go. As a passenger, you are letting other people control you..Thank you UEI San Bernardino, I can’t wait to walk across the stage and received my diploma.. Better yet, I am looking forward to my career.. who do? San berdoooooooo…"

"I dropped out after 4 months because of false promises, efforts to get me to graduate at all costs, and the myriad other complaints that students have when the For Profits gobble up your student loan money. I am rather curious about the terms of this website. You cannot leave a message to any of the posters. "UEI....what can i say good about the school.Nothing! It's a waste of your time and money. I attended back in 97 and i wish i would have just went to a regular community collage to get what i wanted. 7 days to decide if you want to do this? Not enough time. you should at least get two weeks. At first i liked it. but it wasn't challenging because i spent a lot of time in doctors offices i knew all the procedures and stuff. After i finished I got a nice job then i became really i'll and could not longer work. That student loan has cost me well over 20k and for what? UEI is over priced and really just a quick course. This is medical people, you shouldn't want to get through a medical program in 8 months!. There are some success stories, but there are more horror stories. But my advice is to go to your local community collage, get a grant and have them pay you to be in class...lol"

"I am on my last module in the computer system technician program at the Chula Vista campus. This is one of the biggest regrets in my life. This school is a waste of time and money $15,000 dollars to be exact. There is no hands on what so ever, the teachers are unprofessional and unqualified, they teach straight out of textbooks, the staff from education department don't really care about the students after you sign. This class is impossible to fail, you can even cheat on the weekly exams because all they want you to do is pass, because the school doesn't get that money unless you finish the eight months. Several students have talked to the education department about the teaching ethics but no action is ever taken. They just say that we will investigate and I three months later it's still the same. So overall there is nothing positive about this school unless you don't have internet at home. You can pay 15,000 for eight months of free internet. I hope this helps people who thought of attending this campus. Don't do it."

"In regards to the CST students post, I was a straight A student when I attended uei and the only thing I learned was that this school wasted my time and money. As for the 7 day policy, that is not enough time to make any kind of judgment. This school likes to lie to students and tell them that they make to much money and don't qualify for financial aid. They care more about attendance than whether or not the students learn. I've seen students missed day's every week and still pass the mod.I would not recommend this school to my worst enemy because they are that bad. I hope they get their accreditation pulled and they get shutdown. DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL OR BELIEVE WHAT THEY TELL YOU TAKE IT FROM ALL OF US WHO GOT SCREWED UEI IS AN EVIL CORPORATION!!!!!!"

"The school is great. I'm a CST student and I have had zero issues. If you study and do your work you will do fine. I am almost in my last mod and have had zero issues. The people on here crying are the ones in class who do nothing. You should have read the contract when you met your rep. You could have left after 7 days if you did not like it with no charge. I recommend this school to anyone who is willing to work for what they want out of life."

"I enrolled with UEI in San Bernardino July2009 thinking it was going to be everything the rep promised. IT WAS ALL A LIE!! The first days in class were ok, but after a while you start realizing how unprofessional the staff is. They come here whining about their personal problems and they are all lazy as f***. Weve been sub'd for the past few months by subs who obviously could care less. If i could go back i wouldnt waste my time or money... and im mad cause more than half of the people that have been in UEI cant find a damm job! Not worth the money or time."

"It took me two years to finish the pharmacy program, I dropped twice because of the great dissappointment I had with the quality of education and the way the staff treat you. The instructors are nice but the administration or may be the IEC corporation does not give enough support for making their job easier by supplying the appropiate equipment to properly train and instruct the students. They make a little more than $1,000 per month per student, and yet they can't suppply equipment. I remember it took almost a year just to get stools for the lab, everyone had to search in the breakroom for a chair to drag it to class so you could sit. Then we ran out of IV bags and now we have to reuse the ones we've already mixed. We ran out of cocoa butter so we had to unwrap and reuse already made suppositories, so we could pretend we were doing the job. In the computer lab you have to fight to get a working computer and if you're lucky you will get one with a mouse. The only reason I came back to finish the program was because I was already in debt because of them. If I am going to have to pay the money might as well finish the program although I was not satisfied at all. The admission reps are very friendly and know how to persuade and convince you to sign the contract with them... but once you're in, they don't care to even say hi to you... instead some even trat you like rats... especially in the education department where the registrar makes a lot of mistakes, and everytime you try to go and fix it, she just gives you attitude and doesn't even gives you a chance to explain before she's asking you to leave. They talk about helping you with job placement... THEY WON'T EVEN HELP YOU WITH FINDING AND EXTERNSHIP SITE!!!.... they just give you a paper for you to go look for buisness cards of places that are willing to take you in... (basically you do the job hunt, but they get the cridit because you have to submmit what you find to them)...SO EVERYTHING IS A LIE!ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!! THEY WILL BE NICE TO YOU AND OFFER TO BRING DOWN HEAVEN! BUT ONCE YOU SIGN YOUR CONTRACT, YOU'RE JUST A NUMBER TO THEM."

THE FIRST MONTH IT WAS GOOD. BUT AFTER THAT I REALIZED I WAS BACK IN JUNIOR HIGH (NOT EVEN HIGH SCHOOL). THEY TALK TO SO MUCH ABOUT HOW THEY DO NOT TOLERATE DRUGS AND FIGHTING ON CAMPUS. BUT YET I HAD A STUDENT IN MY CLASS GET COUGHT WITH DRUGS AND TWO FIGHTS AND STILL WALK INTO CLASS LIKE NOTHING. WHAT A JOKE!!!! HOW ARE WE SUPPOSE TO FEEL SAFE ON CAMPUS. ALL UEI WANTS IS MONEY. THEY COULD CARE LESS IF WE LEARN CRAP. THE LAB CLASSES DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH EQUIPMENT FOR ALL THE PEOPLE THEY ARE RIPPING OFF. I JUST REALLY REGRET IT BECAUSE WE I KNOW THERE IS A LOT OF PEOPLE JUST LIKE ME THAT ENROLL THINKING THEY ARE ATTENDING A MATURE FACILITY AND SOON REALIZED ITS ALL A BIG JOKE. "ok i've been reading the reviews for this school and alot of them are true...some reviews are good and some bad and they're both good arguements. I attended this school in the Chula Vista Campus starting Jul. 2009, at first i liked the school i liked what they were about...after a while i realized my teacher didn't really know squat about what she was talking about, half the time she was talking about personal issues in her life, i understood that she wanted to get closer to her students but at the same time ur NOT my friend ur my teacher, i wasn't lazy, i did all my work i passed my quizes etc. but for some reason i wasn't getting what i needed to learn...now about the students, there was alot of drama...i felt like i was back in high school, i was maybe one of the youngest but i'm not stupid leave the drama at home, you come to this "college" to get and education for a career, i didn't enroll just to see a bunch of students, who thought they were tough because they didn't finish high school or they came from a bad neighborhood...i come from both but it's common sense...now i'm not complaining i'm stating facts, i'm $13,000 in debt, i regret it the medical ssisting program was a fluke!!!i go dropped, i didn't go one weekend for a personal issue, and i got dropped and didn't find out until i was in class about to sign in and my name wasn't on the sign in sheet, wow, thanks for making me feel stupid, i was told i had to go back and talk to one of the counserlers i did and every date that was set to get me back in he was nowhere to be found, great, i'm here busting my ass to get back into school and do better but the people i need to talk to, to make it happen have dissapeared...thank you UEI College for wasting my time and money..."

"ok, I quit my x-ray goal at a CC for UEI. mind you i was only 19 at the time. so young and still naive to most marketers/sales people. ok, i've tried explaining to many ppl out there UEI is a rip off. why? i went there in 2000. it is now 2010. ok, i perfectly qualified for financial aid at the time b/c i was receiving it in Junior College or a CC (community college) therefore i thot this wouldn't cost me $$ coz i was receiving money to go to school already right? ok, so once this really well suited up guy threw some fancy numbers at me about how much i can possibly be making in YES! Just 8 Months! (hahaha, i laugh about it now , but not the debt part)and once i'm done and b/c they have such great reputation and it'll lead me to a career i really wanted..like um yea a professional receptionist who will earn an awesome $8.00 an hour ..!! but wait there's more! i was convinced shortly thereafter why it would be the greatest choice in my life and "career path". versus radiology program at a regular JC. with possibilities of advancing my career if i ever wanted to keep going... before i jumped into the pit, i asked the so called administrator...about my financial aid and if they could assure me of something better within 8-9 months and if so, would it be making more than my part time job at the local mall where i earned a little over 7.25 an hour back then or somewhat a better outcome than what i had when i started the Business Office Admin. program (again i was only 19).i asked if certificates were transferrable.. you know all those questions us students have, but don't really ask coz we don't think it'll be an important question to ask really. coz what for and plus they're just eager about our education ..right? k well thing is i was suckered into it. and they never told me why i never qualified for financial aid. they just said my parents made too much money. i said i haven't lived w/ my parents and working since i was 17 well they said, hmmm.. well ur stil a dependent i sed ok, fine, then i realized my parents made the minimal income to where i could still qualify same fafsa pprwrk of a comm. college right? so i could not understand why. then they sed my parents made too much. still puzzled they quickly switched the convo.Thennn!! they said aha..! but wait we have a wonderful generous loan of sallie mae and stafford loan ready for you! mind u i had no credit at the time. once they said, it's a very low interest rate, and i didn't have to repay til i found a suitable so called "career" i could make minimum payments that i can arrange with my student loans servicer..well i wasn't even finished with school and i had received a pamphlet with monthly installments of $210 yes 210 to start paying by my 7th month coz if not i would not graduate. I was pissed!! i hadn't even finished yet and i was already being charged...being the curious girl that i am i began asking other students..some students didn't even seem to care they were there. other ones would tell me they got in coz of financial aid...which idk how they did it. prolly had kids, or maybe only partial was paid through financial aid. and some had their husbands pay, or like the majority of us were suckered into it. but hadn't realized it yet. i went everyday after work, I mean i literally worked hard at this so called career goal. i would go to class, never ever missed, i studied, passed all my tests when i was close to finishing..idk, i didn't feel any difference in my life except maybe got faster at typing lol. which i could've learned online at home. ..look this messed with my credit down the line. don't do it guys..but, if u feel like being a recepitionist with ur business office skills and medical assistant pay salary satisfies you and u have the funds and wanna keep busy...but not really need or want or have the drive for a career be my guest! also, i have to say there maybe different locations, different ppl, different cities, states, etc. where they may give you more "attention" on one and one sessions to dedicate their time..that's nice but, please ask yourself...is 9.00 all i wanna get paid for the next 3 years or the rest of my life, all this effort and especially $$$$$$$ is it worth it? your debt will be on there for a few years. so ask yourself will i be earning enough to make a good living and pay these loans off?*if you can, do not- i will reiterate, DO NOT pay for school, i learned the hard way, with no advice, no answeres, i had to do the digging myself.. i had to come on here just to see if they were still scamming ppl for their money...well look at the reviews from 2000 til 2010. you be the judge ;) in closing i'd like to add, stick to a school where u know you can get away with not paying so much for tuition, earn a real degree, don't be in a hurry, apply for scholarships, grants always first. you know what ur capable of. and if u will be getting a loan go to a school wher it'll be a JC , much cheaper at this point it doesn't matter if ur at a JC for pre reqs in order to pay a little less. then transfer on your sophmore or jr years to State Univeristy, or a legitimit school guys/girls. Please don't be fooled ..please!if you guys have experienced this and feel like you've been tricked into this. pls feel free to email me and chat to lotus.909@hotmail.com i don't have anything to hide. Oh and the so called cool ads on tv. they're mostly targeted towards minorities! so white guy who wrote on here don't worry, it's not about being bilingual, it's about being a minority suckered into it, too. coz we're judged to settle for less dear. and keep us there. so don't feel discriminated if you're white and not bilingual. coz it's just directed towards nice ppl in general who will fall for this scam. the loan debtors do not discriminate. but what do i know, i'm just a post and former student who was in big debt with a wonderful "certificate" and went from 7.25 to 8.00! in just 8months! seriously everyone, i'm older now, now thank God i know better i've literally driven by uei in Ontario, CA! telling them not to join in...but sometimes ppl don't listen. it's a crazy world out there i wouldn't expect them to believe me. i still feel bad for ppl who will possibly be in the predicament i was once in."

"I took the business course in this school just for a small-time degree and it was the worst mistake I ever made in my life. The teachers and school administrators are very disrespectful, they treat you like dirt. During the time I spent there, 30% of the time teachers were usually scolding students and addressing guidelines and treating everyone like crap. The students were no better, a lot of confrontation going on between the students, I've seen plenty of fights, a lot of gang-bangers. It was a terrible experience. Now I have $9000 debt to owe, I wish I knew better."
