"My graduate program has several pros. The faculty is highly qualified and diverse. They come from all over the US and Canada. Many of my instructors are involved with research in the Physical Therapy field. This ensures that we are learning the latest information pertaining to our field. The instructors serve as excellent role models. The only con is the lab facilities need to be updated, but they are planning to do that soon."

"The reputation of UAB is phenomonal! The research and resources available to students makes UAB an awesome health sciences university to attend. I am proud to be getting my Masters from such a well known university. I also think that the cost of the program makes it even more worth it. I will be obtaining a well respected degree without having tons of student loans. Birmingham is also a great city to spend a few years in. Im looking forward to getting the southern school feel in a relatively big, unique city."

"UAB has an excellent ESL certification program. Students learn up to date standards and strategies for teaching ELs. One can also get a double certification in ESL and either Spanish or French. My only disappointment is that the Ed.S. is not available with a dual certification."

"The program allowed the opportunity to interact with faculty members interested in similar fields. I enjoyed working with my mentor and have learned how to publish valuable results. I wish other students can learn similarly. The campus allows room to meet new people from different backgrounds. A car is necessary to get around the city as there isn't much public transportation. Additional funds are hard to obtain unless the mentor is willing to sponsor through grant money."
