"With UK (university of Kentucky) being larger and even growing of course you will have large class groups. But please dont let that discourage you from visiting or applying to UK. By senior year, UK was working on ways to break class sizes down and group students together to create a shared learning environment with like peers. Thats not to say their professors are lacking. The teachers tend to be extremely knowledgable in their fields. Some people and professors are friendly and some aren't but thats like everywhere you will go and knowing how to enage both is what will turn you into a great person. This is UK. Turning large concepts into meaningful ones and unlikely situations into solutions."

"The graduate support and access to equipment in the Mining Engineering department is very good. The Mining and Mineral Resource Department has a very strong placement percentage of its students into the career field."

"The cons of the program are the cost of the tuition. Unfortunately I must take out $33,000/year to pay for my pharmacy education. The pros are that the program is the 5th ranked pharmacy program in the nation."

"Pros: Renowned faculty who are invested in each individual graduate student. Lexington is also a wonderful city with culture and history. Cons: Facilities for Fine Arts can be improved, and greater graduate funding is everybody's wish."

"I feel the pros of the program are a network of individuals that expect me to proceed through the program with their assistance. Also, the alumni of the program will be an asset to transition my initial steps into the program. The cons are not having the finances to pay for the program as well as the opportunities to promote more diversity in the program."

"The program is highly rated and you will learn a lot. However, there is a new one year program and they tend to get the more experienced professors."

"This is one of the premier athletic training programs in the country. Classes are challenging in a good way and students are often pushed outside of their comfort zone to become better clinicians."

"I believe that the pros to this graduate program are it's amazing faculty, quality of network, and value to the clinical aspect of speech-language therapy. This program excels in many things, including the facility's assistance and availability, overall credibility, and overall academic and clinical support to finding the niche for you. The workload is just right and the people are extremely friendly. I did not know a sole person when I came to this school, and everyone has been extremely inviting and inclusive. Lexington is a wonderful surrounding city with wonderful restaurants and night life. I believe that some of the cons to this program are the low diversity rates and inability to easily transport to and from class and clinic. If one does not live within walking distance, one may have to park far away and take a bus to the appropriate building. It may take an hour to do the commute."

"I love working with the different professors, and I feel like I'm getting a wonderful experience with all of them. Some of the ones who are mentoring me have written textbooks on my subject that are used nationwide. Not only are the professors really caring and willing to work with you the student body is also very friendly. The only thing I would change about my program is more availability to study abroad within the program itself."

"Allows you to take two evening classes a week, so you can keep your job. It is a lot of work, but it is worth it! They even offer all of the prerequisite classes (or refreshers for some people) over the summer prior to the start of the program."

"The University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy is one of the top pharmacy programs in the country, and I couldn't have been happier with my decision to come here. The faculty are among the best in their respective fields, and the network established through attending UK is nearly enough to cover the price of tuition alone. The courses are difficult to say the least, but in comparison with my peers from other programs, the education is unrivaled. The new Biopharmaceutical Complex that opened in 2010 is an incredible facility, and Lexington is continually ranked one of the top college towns in the country. Aside from the challenging coursework, I have no bad things to say about UKCOP. Go Cats!"

"This is a top-ranked program, competitive program that will allow for many opportunities after graduation. However, it is very expensive and there is essentially no financial aid available for pharmacy students. It is a worthy investment, but money will be tight for a while."

"Pros: Faculty are helpful and genuinely care about you succeeding in the program and ultimately accomplishing your career goals. The system they have in place for the program is designed to help those that may struggle academically by not giving up on them and allowing for help with hard core courses. The online resources for graduate students not only help with career development, but also course material and tutoring. Cons: The only practical experience gained by students is done with one particular course, there should be more opportunities to get out in the field and discovery what a day in the life of someone in your field is in order to better understand expectation and prepare for the future."
