"The MBA program at the University of Louisville is a very challenging and worthy program. The program incorporates both team and individual learning and work, which is very similar to that of the business world. The professors are very helpful and insightful. The program offers an International trip which gives students the opportunity to study the way business is done in different cultures. Classes are interesting and very interactive. Overall, UOFL offers an amazing MBA program for students who are looking to get a step ahead in the business world."

"Dental school is crazy hard but doable. You want a place that is more like a family then a sports competition. This place is great."

"University of Louisville School of Dentistry has all the critical requirements to prepare a student for a successful career in dentistry. From an exceptional learning environment, low cost of living, well respected program, to a large patient population to serve. They have created an extremely warm and comfortable environment. The staff are sincere and caring and this carries over to the students. This enables the students to more readily focus on their studies as everyone is looking to help one another. The school is well respected by those looking to land a dental specialty. This is very important for those looking to specialize since the dental boards are now pass fail (as are many of the dental schools) so the specialties are interested in students coming from well respected institutions. The cost of living is very hard to beat, and whether you are single or have a family it is easy to find good accommodations in a safe place."

"Good thing is that it leaves with with a solid foundation for starting your future career. A con is that it's so much work packed in at once."

"The Counseling Psychology program here overall is an amazing program. It has wonderful professors and a very stimulating curriculum. The professors are very helpful and are rather quick in assisting students. The course load is not too heavy and it is clear that the professors understand that some of us have full time jobs or families to take care of. The program also hosts plenty of events for the Graduate students so that they can socialize and network. The only con for the Master's program will have to be the lack of financial aid. Unless you obtain some sort of graduate assistantship (which can be rare) it would be very difficult to keep up with the payments especially if one is an out of state student."

"Overall supportive and valuable program. Expensive, but grad school tends to be. Very few (significant) scholarship opportunities."

"Pursuing my MA in history at the University of Louisville is one of the best decisions I've ever made. The department is small but the faculty are scholars of the highest caliber who are selfless in their mentorship. As graduate teaching assistant, I have also been able to explore the finer points of pedagogy in addition to receiving a top-notch education on the finer points of historical research."

"The University of Louisville overall is a wonderful place to get an education. Not only is the university and the surrounding area wonderful, but the size of the campus is just right. All engineering graduate programs here at UofL are accredited Masters programs, leaving you with a meaningful degree and a plethora of knowledge."

"I believe that the grading system was mostly based on completeness rather than on quality of work. However we had access to our professors, who were great mentors discussing issues/concerns out in the field."

"The Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville is a well-known and widely respected name in the field of social work and clinical therapy. The MSSW Program offers a variety of opportunities to further delve into this field. There are multiple specializations with which one can pursue in their graduate work, including Marriage/Family Therapy, Substance abuse, Gerontology (working with senior citizens), child welfare, General mental health, and others. With the foundation of the MSSW degree program, and the specialty classes in each specific area, one can gain a wealth of knowledge in their time at the Kent School. In addition, the faculty are very experienced and learned. Occasionally, you can get a Doctoral student as a professor, but even then, they have been required to be working in the field for a few years between their master's and doctorate degrees. On the other end of the spectrum, some professors have been in their specific fields for many years, whether it be in the government affecting policy, consulting, clinical therapy, inpatient facilities or non-profits, etc. Every professor brings something unique to the table. Compared to many programs, the Kent School is very affordable, but it is still a little bit costly. Without any loans or financial aid, Tuition basically runs about $10,000-$12,000 per year, including summer classes. The education is worth it, though, especially if one can access financial aid. One can live on-campus or off-campus. I chose to live off-campus, and being that each class only meets once a week, I am only on campus one or two days a week. So, do not expect the social student life to be the same as in undergraduate if you decide to live off-campus. Whether one wants to pursue a macro-social work focus (such as policy, government, etc) or a micro-social work focus (including therapy, clinical work, etc), Kent School brings both to the table in its curriculum. This means that each student must wade through the aspects opposite of their interest (i.e. a macro-focused student must learn the micro-focus side of social work), but this greatly broadens one's view of social work and of individuals and institutions alike. All in all, the U of L Kent School is a great institution. While they are not perfect, there is great opportunity here to further your education and career eligibility. I highly recommend it."

"This program is very easy to transition into if you have gone to the university for the undergrad. You will have had almost all of the teachers during undergrad classes and the flow of work and class scheduling is exactly the same. Having come in this fashion, I am not sure how the support for new grad transfers is. Does not seem to have the same style of many grad programs where students all come in at the same time and have the same classes with each other throughout the duration."

"The University of Louisville's Pan African Studies Master's Program opens up one's mind to people of color but does not do so in a wide array of current thought. It offers plenty of good courses but not very often and does not offer courses specific in certain social science areas such as psychology or sexuality."
