"I love the U of M! It has been a amazing experience. All the people are so nice and willing to help, we have so many resources to get you to where you want to go with your career. We also have student groups everyone can fit into, there are so many and the students are very accepting if others. Additionally, I love our sports teams and going to the games. The U has been a amazing experience overall!"

"College of Biological Sciences is very competitive, with many students going the pre-med route. Professors are top researchers in their field, and in my experience it's about a 50-50 shot you'll get a professor who genuinely enjoys teaching. Introductory biology lab classes cover basics needed for any undergrad research position. The intro bio courses try to provide a small class feel, and focus on critical thinking in science over biology basics. This means you need to be prepared on these basic subjects to do well. Overall, CBS does a good job preparing students for research or med school, but professors ought to be more interested in their students."

"Tell us about your college experience.I loved the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. I came from a small town and its a huge campus. To me this was a benefit rather than a drawback. I loved being anonymous, I loved all the variety. I loved the fact that I could change as I wanted to without being judged. Its a very liberal, accepting atmosphere. At the time it was also a place you could comfortably attend part-time and that worked out well for me also. What advice can you offer other students?GO TO GRAD SCHOOL. Just go to grad school. It will make you permanently employable. And follow your first instinct about what you want to do, and don't second guess yourself or tell yourself its too hard and can't be done."

"Tell us about your college experience. The University of Minnesota is one of the top Universities in the country in many fields of study. The campus, the people, the instructors -- all exceptional. It was a great fit for me, because I always felt like the possibilities were endless at such a large university.Would you get the same degree if you could start over?Yes, because I think it worked out well for my career. What advice can you offer other students?Consider a state university rather than a private college. They are usually less expensive, many offer an education that exceeds a private school and the tuition is usually much less expensive."
