"The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri is an outstanding program. The number one factor is the accessibility of he faculty. They truly care about our success as Veterinarians and view the students as colleagues. While the academic building could use some updates, the VMTH is a state of the art hospital that has the Small animal, Equine and Food Animal hospitals all under one roof. This is a huge advantage compared to other veterinary schools. As a Mu Vet Med student we are also lucky to start our clinical year during third year unlike most vet schools which start clinics in fourth year. This extra hands on experience is a huge bonus!"

"Veterinary school consumes your life and you have to manage your time wisely for studying. Your social life can become nonexistent at times but it is worth it in the end. The faculty and staff are great. They are supportive and always encouraging us to do more."

"The MU College of Veterinary Medicine provides a well-rounded education in both small and large animal. This does, however, mean that there is less flexibility in the choice of classes that you take. The biggest pro for Mizzou is that we start clinics 5-6 months before other vet schools. The biggest con is that we only get 6 weeks off for the summer in between the 1st and 2nd year, and 2nd and 3rd year, leaving less time to do externships and other programs during the summer."
