"The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is a strong school with a large diversity of individuals. Personally, I felt overwhelmed with the size of the school, and I often felt overlooked or as if I was just another number there. However, if you can actively engage in clubs, events, opportunities with professors, etc. then you should excel here. I will say that classes here can be extremely difficult and daunting, but if you can focus and work hard, the pay off will be worth it. The reputation of this school means something to many employers, and there seems to be a respect for those that got through the school. You can also make a lot of connections which will greatly help in job searching after school."

"Despite UNC having had its fair share of scandals over the years, I enjoyed my time spent in attendance. As a psychology major with a minor in social and economic justice, my coursework mainly focused on matters of mental health, activism, and social reform. For me, it was the perfect choice. My program allowed me to explore a breadth of current topics while conducting research regarding my personal interests. I would recommend UNC to anyone considering spending their next four years at the nations first public university."

"I am happy that I chose to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It was a great undergraduate experience. Great academics, great sports, great weather (compared to where I am from). If I could do it all over again, I would not change a thing."

"UNC-Chapel Hill was a college that I got accepted into and attended because all of my North Carolinian high school friends did as well. What I had failed to notice while attending was the beauty of it all. The campus is by far the prettiest I have seen, and I have been to many other campuses since my time there. The student body is large, you may need to try not to get lost in it initially, but once you join a club or find yourself a class to really appreciate, your time there will fly. The prestige itself of being an alumni is very high, which was unknown to me until I graduated. I would highly recommend everyone to go here."

"The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has an excellent culture and academic focus. The school provides many resources for students to do well, from the Wellness center, peer tutoring, student organizations, and faculty mentorship. I always felt supported while pursuing my degree! As a low income student, the Carolina Covenant program helped me to graduate debt free through work study, grants, and scholarships. Without this program, I would have been in major debt with no familial financial support."

"It is hard to compare schools to others since most students only attend the one. At UNC, I always felt welcomed. My success was a priority to professors and the staff. The options to join an organization are endless and the connections you make will last a life time."

"UNC Chapel Hill was ranked #1 among 100 public schools for most affordable, high quality education by Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine. UNC Chapel Hill provides a strong, diverse community in which students thrive in both academically and personally. The opportunities to get involved are endless and the professors whom teach rigorous courses are known world-wide for their academic credibility. Without UNC Chapel Hill, I wouldn't be the person who I am today."

"Amazing campus, driven and intelligent students, brilliant faculty members. There are so many organizations to choose from and if there isn't something you like, you can create your own. Standards are high, but so many resources are available to you. It is a liberal arts school, so you get the opportunity to take a wide range of classes in subjects you may not get to otherwise. Sports are huge and it's an amazing environment if that is something you enjoy. I highly recommend it. I had so much fun, but you definitely need to work hard."

"When I started school, a college degree was completely relevant and likely to help me become employed at a higher level. This is no longer true. Seriously consider your investment in ANY college, be reasonably sure you have a career path which requires a college education, and consider delaying or attending a community college before attending university."
