"I am currently enrolled in the MPA@UNC program, meaning all of my classes are online. I was skeptical of this method of instruction at first, but I have found it to be very interesting and engaging. While the asynchronous material (the videos and readings you do outside of class) appear like stereotypical online learning, the actual class time is revolutionary. The platform they use allows everyone in the class to see everyone else's face. Professors often split us up into small groups to work on case studies and discuss issues. We can share our computer screens and files easily. In many ways, the online platform forces more active participation than regular classes. This not only makes the classes more enjoyable, but it also gives god preparation for future careers. I am learning new technology and new ways to connect, and I get more practice in presentation skills, which are necessary for a degree in public administration!Read Less"

"Everyone in the MPA program is extremely welcoming and easy to talk to which made the transition from a small program during my undergrad career into this grad program a lot smoother. The administration is very easy to access and they do everything they can to help support current students and also to provide a strong network to help students when they graduate."
