"The University of San Francisco's School of Education, Masters of Arts in Teaching is a great program of study. The program fully prepares you to teach in today's classroom. One of the great advantages of the program is that the professors in the program are current or retired teachers in your area of study. The student field advisors are current teachers, and when they come to conduct observations spend as much time as you as a student for review of performance after observation. They will conduct extra observations if you want, the whole course is student oriented. The rigor of the program is very high, but I feel that have such high standards for classroom performance has made me so much more prepared to teach. I recommend this program for anyone interested in becoming a teacher."

"I attend the USF branch campus in Santa Rosa. The facility is small, but easily accessible and very hospitable. The staff is committed to student success and very supportive. They really make an effort to reach out, get to know their students and provide support. Cons: Because it is a small branch campus, it doesn't have that traditional "college feel," but it is great nonetheless."

"I have been a part of the dual degree program here at USF. I will be going into my fifth year here, and will be receiving my master's degree and preliminary credential at the end of this upcoming year. I definitely encourage people to take part in the dual degree program. The work load is not too heavy, but you still end up learning so much about how to navigate in the classroom!"

"I am working full-time and am in my 2nd semester of grad school. It is very hard to work and go to school, it is recommended to go to school full-time. Pros: quality teachers, engaging courses. Cons: not all classes are at night, tuition rates just increased, hard to contact school mentors due to leadership changes. Hoping to see positive changes over the course of my time at school."

"USF offered and an accelerated program which was perfect for my busy schedule. The project approach to learning suited my learning style. This program might not work for everyone."
