"If you are planning to do a post master degree here. Don't enroll if you plan to go to commencement. Post grads to not get to walk across the stage. You are not told that you can not participate until you ask about graduation. So all the money you spend, your family will not see you walk across the stage."

"The program is not user friendly. Poorly instructed. Difficult to navigate. Little to no support. Attending this school was the biggest mistake I've ever made. I am withdrawing and maybe going back to Capella. Heed all warnings before enrolling."

"Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! I cannot believe how bad everything was. It was a horrible mistake to go to this university. I thought that this would be okay seeing as it was federally associated but not only was it a money pit, they offered no proper help with anything! I am trying to complete my PMHNP now and basically, you are left alone to learn the material yourself then get tested, and then graded. The teachers don't do anything! When you have to do a practicum, they will tell you they have resources but they do not. Their "resources" is a search of places that have been utilized by other students before then that's it. They do not pay the proctors but will inconvenience them to the point that they will refuse to be proctors. I think the school just does not want you to graduate!!! Then they use castlebranch for "onboarding" which in itself can not be reached and if you ask them to help, they'll tell "oh just call them". Honestly, find somewhere else!"

"Walden University is a phenomenal school, and anytime someone considers graduate school, I always recommend Walden University. I have completed a degree (MSN) and post-graduate certificate (nursing education), and I am enrolled in a WU program for the third time, which shows how excellent the instruction is."

"My time at Walden University has been the best. I have been able to network with so many professionals. The instructors are wonderful and knowledgeable. At Walden, you are apart of family, and more importantly the educational experience will prepare you for anything."

"Attending Walden University was one of the best decisions I ever made. The online learning environment was organized, well-planned and doable as a full time nurse, wife, and mother. The professors were approachable and available to assist, answer questions and clarify assignments. I never felt alone!"

"If you are looking to get a Masters in Nursing for Nurse Practitioner then I would NOT do it. It is a joke. I am a great student, it has nothing to do with that. It's finding a preceptor. They failed to mention when you enrolled that their list of affiliation agreements needs updating (there are facilities on the list that are not even open anymore). The field office will not help or accommodate you. There are other colleges that you can go to that will help you find a preceptor for your clinical, go to them! You will not graduate on time, or have to pay thousands of dollars to a preceptor to get them to take you on. This did not just happen to me but to many others."

"My experience at Walden was excellent. Registration was smooth, my instructors were knowledgeable and helpful, and the courses helped me hone my craft. My capstone course was excellent. I enjoyed it enough that I re-enrolled and will start a doctorate program this winter."

"I recently finished my graduate degree with this university, and overall, would say this institution is okay. I had a good experience with most of my professors, though, each one of them are very different. The practicum or clinical portion of the education consisted of 144 hours at 11 weeks (adult, pediatrics, ob/gyn, and synthesis). In my opinion, the downside of an online education through this institution is that there are no lectures and you have to find the information that you need to know on your own, because the school does not provide "teaching" in any manner. Clinical can certainly be longer as well, but I was able to go beyond the required 144 hours during my 11-week sessions (I would recommend getting as much hours as you can for a good clinical experience). In closing, I feel this institution isn't bad, but if an individual is looking for "teaching" or lectures, then they should consider a brick and mortar institution or research one that provides this."

"Absolutely the worst school. Unorganized. I withdrew from that school they sent me a financial aid check back and then months later sent me letter saying I owed them 2450 because THEY sent me wrong amount. Took me hours on phone with department of education to figure out their mistake."

"Walden is an absolute joke. It's an okay way to get some letters behind your name for low effort & cost, but good luck learning anything. The courses trade between being wildly easy (one professor gave me an A on a discussion post before I even turned it in) to irrationally hard (another professor graded down for not using references when introducing ourselves in the first discussion post). I took 3 courses and was luckily able to transfer them."

"I attended this school in all of 2017 for a master's in nursing education. I first found the system to be a little overwhelming because you have to go to different screens in order to get information or post information. I contacted the help desk and told them that I was having difficulty with the program no one assisted me. At the same time I was having difficulty I saw hurricane Irma passed through and I had no electricity to continue the course, once again I contacted Walden and they refused to drop me from the course after they claimed they would. I then found out I was automatically re enrolled and then a bill was sent to collection for a class that I never took. I am trying to resolve this issue with them and hopefully that there will be a good resolution."

"I am so grateful to have had an opportunity to complete my degree at this school. When I called to clarify an aspect of my study there was always someone available to assist or connect me with someone more appropriate to assist. My graduation ceremony was in Florida where I was able to finally meet and personally connect with the students I had only known by name for the 2 years it took to complete my MScN. Please ignore the negative comments, they are probably from people that were not serious about their studies or did not look into licensing requirements prior to enrolling. As a Canadian asking many questions prior to enrolling provided me all the information needed to chose the right path of study and arrange an appropriate placement at my present place of employment. Great work Walden!"

"Any online course requires dedication and hard work and this one is no different. I have had great instructors - and a few not so great - but the good ones have outweighed the bad ones. Also, I have definitely had the benefit of gleaning true life experiences from the great ones during discussion boards. No degree is handed to you and I have worked my tail off and I feel that I have earned this! I am very happy to be finished in just 3 short months. All of the FNP programs are moving toward online programs and all of them require you to find your own preceptors - which is difficult. This program was designed to help professionals that work fit school into their schedule and that's a huge benefit. I have done this program part time and it has worked out great for me and my family situation right now."

"This school is overpriced and under taught. The teachers all have different ideas of APA means so in one class is maybe acceptable and in another they require something else. The amount of time it takes for someone to return communication is ridiculous. Teachers will grade assisgnments at their leisure and when you address this issue they will say "follow the rubric" unacceptable. This school is a joke"

"I had a good experience with the admission process and my first 3 classes. Good interaction with instructors and helpful feedback. Class 4...evidence based nursing...not a good experience. Disrespectful instructor, doesn't like to answer questions, and contradicts herself, doesn't know the policies. Once I started questioning her, my grades dropped. Academic advising suggests contacting her boss, but that hasn't helped, and they have no other suggestions. I understand that it may be just this one professor, but Walden is supporting her bad behavior. I will not be giving Walden any more of my money."

"The MSN with a focus in education helped to prepare me for an academic nurse educator role. Faculty were available, fair, and honest. Courses were 100% online. Course designed to build connections with peers. Capstone project was required. Stressful finding a site and preceptor but the process helped to solidify the entire learning experience. Would have like better updates technology such as presentation software for students."

"I am currently at Walden University, I have found the advisor department to be always there for me. It does not matter who I talk to from that department they are able to bring my information up and answer my question with no problem. I would have been lost without them."

"Great school with great instructors! Currently in a doctorate program and the required residencies have been great in meeting new friends and colleagues. I suggest going to each residency in person, it makes a positive difference on your outlook of the classewa in graduating!"
